As we all wait with high hopes for the good governance bill to be presented by the Rajasthan government as declared in Budget 2014, let us make a little time out from our schedule to give a thought over it.
Good governance bill is going to be citizen centric, it will surely bring new act to increase the work efficiency of the system. Let us use this platform to share our views regarding good governance, what we expect from this bill. It’s been a long time we are referring our country as a developing one, still striving to become one of the highest power on globe. For this we need to first develop our state Rajasthan so as to enable it to give its 100 % share to the nation’s development.
In the current time we are very well aware that the backbone of our government machinery is highly damaged due to the steps followed in the last few decades. A lot of amends are to be exercised. If we start with the basic reforms then, what needs to be changed with high priority is the work culture (attitude) of the government offices. Officials should strictly take care that the work is completed within the time bound to it. Instead of the conventional working format, offices should be well equipped with the new technologies for increasing efficiency to many folds. The high rank officer should play their role as team manager or team leader instead of the officer in command, working along with all the subordinates creating a positive work culture. This proactive role of theirs will transmit work energy resulting into the better output. For the betterment & reputation of the system, officials should be encouraged to take bold decisions & support innovative ideas which are result oriented even if it requires twisting the former rules. A lot more is needed to be done, a lot of changes needs to be planned & for this we are here to share our views over this.
