The Mirasi have a number of exogamous gotras, the main ones being the bagadwa,maliya,sinwal,Gorel, Bhabra, Suel, Pohra, Kawa, Ghocha,chumbad,chamaga,gari,shimbhi,dhandhu,bawara,foga, and Dhaosi. Their traditional occupations is singing and a playing drums at wedding
