Visit to Carp Farm, Alsu
Today, the worthy Director-cum-Warden of Fisheries, Himachal Pradesh sh Om Kant Thakur IAS visited Carp Farm, Alsu and reviewed the ongoing activities and production operations at the farm.
During the visit, the Director-cum-Warden took note of the current activities and issued necessary directions to further enhance fish production for sale purposes and increase the production of quality carp fingerlings to meet the requirements of fish farmers

Field Inspection and Review of Fisheries Activities in Gobind Sagar Reservoir
On 19 August 2026, Shri Om Kant Thakur, Director –cum-Warden of Fisheries, Himachal Pradesh, along with officers conducted a field inspection and review of fisheries activities in the Gobind Sagar Reservoir.
During the visit, the departmental officers interacted directly with the fishermen and discussed their working conditions and practical challenges. The interaction also highlighted the encouraging performance of the current fishing season, with a significant improvement in catch per unit effort compared to the previous year.
The Department of Fisheries, Himachal Pradesh remains committed to the welfare of fishermen, sustainable management of fisheries resources and strengthening the fisheries sector across the State.

हमारे मछुआरा भाई तेज़ लहरों और बदलते मौसम के बीच अपने परिवारों के बेहतर भविष्य के लिए दिन-रात मेहनत करते हैं। उनकी मेहनत और सुरक्षा हमारी जिम्मेदारी है।

मछुआरों को लाइफ जैकेट उपलब्ध करवाने के लिए 50 लाख रुपये तथा लैंडिंग सुविधाओं के विकास के लिए 10 लाख रुपये की राशि प्रदान की जाएगी।

मछुआरों का जीवन सुरक्षित हो, उनकी मेहनत को सम्मान मिले और परिवारों का भविष्य बेहतर बने- यही हमारी कोशिश है।

मछुआरा परिवारों की आजीविका नदियों और जलाशयों से जुड़ी है। हमारी सरकार ने ‘मुख्यमंत्री मछुआरा सम्मान निधि योजना’ के माध्यम से उन्हें आर्थिक संबल प्रदान किया है।

इस योजना के तहत मछुआरा समितियों पर लगाए गए पाँच गुना जुर्माने को माफ कर दिया गया है। साथ ही, कोल्ड स्टोरेज इकाइयों के लिए सब्सिडी 70% से बढ़ाकर 80% कर दी गई है।

इस योजना के माध्यम से मछुआरा परिवारों को उनकी मेहनत का लाभ मिलेगा, आय में वृद्धि होगी और जीवन में खुशहाली आएगी।
