Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur, Smt. Pooja Elangbam, today led the Har Ghar Tiranga Rally from Block Lamkhai, Bishnupur, which culminated at the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

The rally, organised by the District Administration, Bishnupur, was attended by DC Smt. Pooja Elangbam, ADM Bishnupur Shri T. Opendro, AC to DC Shri S. Gunamani, District Level Officers, officials from various departments, students from different schools across the district and CRPF personnel. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting the spirit of patriotism and national unity.

District Administration Bishnupur, led by Deputy Commissioner Smt. Pooja Elangbam, today observed Patriots’ Day with solemn tributes and commemorative events at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Mini Secretariat Complex.

The ceremony was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Shri Toijam Opendro, District Level Officers (DLOs) and officials of the District Administration.

As part of the observance, Prabhat Pheri was organized across Nambol, Bishnupur and Moirang Sub-Divisions.

Sub Divisional Offices and line departments of the district also observed Patriots’ Day in their respective offices with due solemnity.

Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Smt. Pooja Elangbam, today chaired a meeting on the implementation of the 'Clean Himalayan Hill Cities Initiative, Manipur' at Sendra under Swachh Bharat Mission–Urban 2.0 (Manipur) at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the need for a sustainable and coordinated approach to make Sendra a clean, plastic-free tourist destination. She emphasized that effective waste segregation, proper collection, and proper disposal of waste are essential for maintaining cleanliness and preserving the natural beauty of the area.

The meeting was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Shri Toijam Opendro, representatives of the Loktak Development Authority, officials of the Moirang Municipal Council, concerned District Level Officers, and representatives of local clubs and organisations.

Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur, Smt. Pooja Elangbam today chaired the first quarterly review meeting for the District Advisory Committee (DAC) and District Samanvay Committee (DSC) for 2026–27 at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

The meeting was organised by the MYBharat District Office, Bishnupur in collaboration with the District Administration, Bishnupur with the objective of strengthening youth development through convergence and inter-departmental collaboration, while also enhancing the ongoing MYBharat registration drive across the district.

Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Smt. Pooja Elangbam urged all departments and stakeholders to extend their full cooperation in ensuring the success of the MYBharat registration drive by encouraging eligible youth across the district to register on the MYBharat Portal. She stated that the platform provides a wide range of opportunities for volunteering, leadership development, community service, skill enhancement and active civic engagement, enabling young people to contribute meaningfully to the development of the nation.
