𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐬𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐕𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝟏𝟐 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬
1. On 28/07/2026, an attempted ATM theft at Monabari Tea Estate was cracked through CCTV analysis, leading to the apprehension of accused Swarup Bagh and two associates, with crime-related items recovered and seized.
2. On 11.08.2026, Behali PS intercepted a vehicle (AS-01-FS-1476) after the driver attempted to run over a police officer at Borgang Naka, apprehending two accused from Nagaon—Md. Mousin Choudhury and Mokibul Hoque—and seizing ₹13,22,515 cash meant for buying stolen cattle, along with two mobile phones and the vehicle.
3. On 13.08.2026, Sootea PS team led by DySP (HQ) raided the residence of Labajyoti Hazarika at Udaipur, apprehending the accused and seizing 1.517 kg suspected dried cannabis, ₹18,460 cash, a mobile phone, and a scooter (AS-01-DZ-7163).
4. On 16/08/2026, based on reliable information, Biswanath Police intercepted vehicle No. AS12CC6155 at Rotowa Toll Plaza, NH-15, and rescued 23 cattle being transported in a cruel and inhumane manner; four persons were apprehended and the cattle were seized under e-Sakshya videography.
5. Successful Operation by Gohpur Police on 19/08/2026 . An Oil Tanker (NL-06-AA-0918) was intercepted near Chatrang River, NH-15, based on confidential input. Search conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate led to the recovery and seizure of suspected illicit liquor allegedly brought from Arunachal Pradesh for illegal sale.
6. On 22.08.2026, Gohpur PS conducted a search operation apprehending two accused—Md. Mustafa Ahmed and Md. Hajrat Ali of Lakhimpur—and seized 0.510 kg suspected fake gold, an Alto K10 car (AR-01Q-9693), and two mobile phones. Legal action initiated.
