BMS KOLKATA DISTRIBUTES RATION KITS & MEDICINES TO SONGACHI S*X WORKERS THROUGH SOCIAL ACTIVISTS
The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) Kolkata Unit has conducted a Unique Programme on 30th July 2020. Hundreds of S*x workers live in the Sonagachi area of Kolkata. COVID 19 has brought unimaginable problems for these workers with whom normal society does not want to mix. Because of these limitations, they were isolated too.
The BMS Kolkata Unit came to know about the pathetic conditions of these workers through social activists Smt. Annindita Roy, & Smt.Thithi Mukharjee. Then it has decided to help the Songachi workers.
On 30th July 2020, the BMS has provided Ration Kits, Medical Kits, Sanitary Kits and Masks to these workers. A batch of Karyakarthas went along with Smt Roy met all these workers and distributed Kits to them. On behalf of S*x workers, Smt Roy thanked BMS for their timely help.
One important point to be noted is that the BMS West Bengal unit has conducted multifarious Service activities since March 28 till the end of July in different parts of Bengal.
BMS State President Sri Tarun Ghosh, State General Secretary Sri Ujjwal Mukharjee and Sri Ganesh Mishra Deputy Zonal Organising Secretary Of East Zone have participated on behalf of BMS.
