Dalit Girl Gang-Raped in Sultanpur on Way to School, Minor Among 3 Accused

In a heart-wrenching tragedy, a 14-year-old Dalit girl was brutally gang-r**ed by three youths, including a 15-year-old minor, while heading to school in Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur. Lured into a car under the pretense of a ride, she was taken to a secluded spot and violated. The accused face charges under r**e, POCSO, and SC/ST Act.

Before the elections, Trinamool undergoes major organizational reshuffle.

Ahead of the 2026 Assembly elections, Trinamool Congress is reorganizing the party. Presidents have been changed in 34 organizational districts, new faces added to the state committee, and core committees formed in place of presidents in Birbhum and North Kolkata—altogether indicating clear signs of change. Although Anubrata Mondal and Sudip Bandyopadhyay are no longer presidents, they will remain in the core committee.
