🌱 A Decade of Dedication, Now a Thriving Forest 🌳

In the year 2015–16, a plantation was carried out over 6 hectares in Ghargharan Beat of Masroond Range under the Chamba Forest Division.

Today, just 10 years later, that effort has transformed into a dense, living forest — a testament to patience, protection, and sustained field work.

Forestry work takes time, but its results speak for generations. 🌿

दिनांक 15 अप्रैल को हिमाचल दिवस के शुभ अवसर पर वन विभाग में उत्कृष्ट कार्य करने वाले कर्मियों को सम्मानित किया गया।

इस अवसर पर श्री विनोद (वन रक्षक, सामधार बीट) को पिछले एक वर्ष के भीतर चंबा में विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में 50 से उपर घायल वन्यजीवों को सुरक्षित जगह लाकर उनके उपचार हेतु एवं श्री विनोद कुमार (वन रक्षक, मोरतू बीट) को अपने क्षेत्र में घोरल का शिकार करते हुए शिकारी को पकडने पर उनके सराहनीय एवं उत्कृष्ट कार्यों के लिए मुख्य अतिथि द्वारा सम्मानित किया गया।

इनकी मेहनत, समर्पण और कर्तव्यनिष्ठा विभाग के लिए प्रेरणास्रोत है।

वन विभाग परिवार को इन पर गर्व है और इनके उज्ज्वल भविष्य की कामना करता है।

हिमाचल दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ!

आज दिनांक 15 अप्रैल को हिमाचल दिवस के अवसर पर वन विभाग चंबा की टीम ने पूरे उत्साह, अनुशासन और गौरव के साथ आयोजित परेड में भाग लिया। 🌲

इस अवसर पर विभाग के अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों ने अपनी प्रभावशाली उपस्थिति दर्ज कराते हुए न केवल विभाग की कार्यसंस्कृति और समर्पण को प्रदर्शित किया, बल्कि वन संरक्षण, पर्यावरण सुरक्षा और हरित हिमाचल के संदेश को भी जन-जन तक पहुंचाया I

Plantation activity was successfully carried out in Bhalka area (7.59 hectares) during the year 2021–22.

This Plantation falls under Bhalka Beat, Chhabaru Block, Lower Chamba Range, Chamba Forest Division.

This initiative will help reduce soil erosion, increase green cover, and strengthen the local ecosystem.

A water pond has been constructed at Triyodi Beat under Chamba Forest Division using local stone lining to reduce seepage and store rainwater effectively.

It provides a reliable water source for wildlife, helps in forest fire control, supports groundwater recharge, reduces soil erosion, and enhances biodiversity, contributing to overall forest conservation and ecological balance.

Forest Division Office Chamba was inspected by the Worthy Conservator of Forests, Chamba.

During the inspection, various sections of the office were thoroughly reviewed, including record maintenance, office management, and ongoing works.

The Worthy CF emphasized the importance of proper documentation, timely disposal of cases, and maintaining transparency in official procedures.

Necessary directions were issued to the staff for improving efficiency and ensuring compliance with departmental guidelines.

The overall functioning of the office was found to be satisfactory, and staff were encouraged to continue their dedicated efforts towards effective forest management and administrative work.

Accurate field survey and boundary demarcation are essential for effective forest management.

In this regard, the staff of Chamba Forest Division were imparted practical training on the use of DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) for precise data collection in the field.

The training aimed to enhance the technical skills of field staff so that modern technology can be effectively used for accurate mapping and survey of forest areas.

मार्च महीने की इस बारिश से जंगल को कई फायदे होंगे 🌧️🌳।

मिट्टी में नमी बढ़ेगी, नए पौधे और घास उगेंगे, वन्यजीवों को पानी मिलेगा और सूखी पत्तियाँ गीली होने से जंगल में आग लगने का खतरा भी कम होगा।

सुंदरनगर में आयोजित प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम में भाग लेते हुए दिखाता यह छायाचित्र

ICFRE–Himalayan Forest Research Institute, Shimla द्वारा HP Forest Academy, Sundernagar में आयोजित “Productivity Enhancement through Plus Trees Selection, SPA Development, Seed and Nursery Techniques of Important Plantation Tree Species of Himachal Pradesh” विषय पर यह प्रशिक्षण अत्यंत ज्ञानवर्धक और प्रेरणादायक रहा।

इस प्रशिक्षण के माध्यम से वन प्रबंधन, प्लस ट्री चयन, बीज एवं नर्सरी तकनीकों के बारे में महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्राप्त हुई, जो भविष्य में वनों के संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन के लिए अत्यंत उपयोगी सिद्ध होगी।

इस अवसर पर प्रदेश के विभिन्न क्षेत्रों से आए वन अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों के साथ अनुभव साझा करने का भी मौका मिला।
ऐसे उपयोगी प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम के लिए आयोजकों का हार्दिक धन्यवाद।
