Where does it go that a long time ago, there was a procession going out of this place at night then was darkness, due to being dark, tha baratas(बारात) could not see anything and all one fell down into this deep lake, and thus a whole procession fell into this lake.

Beni Tal is a small village around 6 km from Adi Badri in Chamoli District. Major point of attraction here is the Beni Tal Lake. Narayan Temple, believed to have been built by Adi Shankara, is the nearby attraction. This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. There are many small temples easily accessible from here.
