Gospel Friends was founded on 30th of August 30, 1992 when 60 believers gathered for sharing in a place called Coimbatore. After having heard the messages on “the measure you walk, that measure I give unto you” (Gen 17:13), from Brother R. Ghunakumar, 12 believers gathered spontaneously for prayer and there the Lord gave this challenge of “preaching the goodnews to the poor, healing the broken hea
rted and setting free those who are oppressed” (Luke 4:18). That moment it was decided to call us as Gospel Friends and instantly dedicated two workers to take the goodnews to the poor and also decided to take care of seven orphan boys at Mt. To date Gospel Friends has reached thousands of villages, reached 1000’s across 8 states in India, built 100 community centres and support 372 community workers, trains 100 young men and women through our Theological College.
