Dibyendu Photography Welcome to my lens! I’m a self-taught wildlife and travel photographer with a deep-rooted passion for the natural world.

My mission is simple: to freeze those fleeting, beautiful moments in a bird’s life and showcase the incredible habitat they call home. Hey, I am a self-taught wildlife and travel photographer. I love photographing wildlife through my lenses and capture beautiful moments of their life and their habitats. I am also inclined to occasional travel photography as I like to escape to beautiful places and meet peoples not so different from us.

Spotted Owlet

Owls have translucent third eyelids called nictitating membranes that sweep horizontally across the eye to clean and moisten it. When they blink slowly or squint like this, it gives them an extraordinarily "sleepy" or "smug" human-like expression.

White-throated Kingfisher

Despite being called a "kingfisher," this bird relies much less on fish than its aquatic relatives! It is a land-hunting specialist, feeding heavily on large insects, lizards, rodents, snakes, frogs, and even small birds far away from water bodies.

Yellow-eyed Babbler

Despite its common name, the most striking feature on adult birds is actually their vivid orange-red eye ring! The yellow iris itself sits inside this fiery orange orbit, giving the bird an intensely expressive, "staring" gaze.

Red-breasted Flycatcher

If you see a tiny brownish flycatcher constantly cocking its tail straight up in the air and spreading its tail feathers to show off distinct white side patches, you’re looking at a Ficedula flycatcher! This restless tail-flicking habit helps flush out hidden insects from foliage.

Spotted Owlet

Outside their tree-hollow roosts, they are remarkably vocal! They communicate with a loud, harsh, screeching and chattering duet—often sounding like a noisy quarrel between two tiny monsters.

Orange-headed Thrush

Despite being shy and hard to spot, the Orange-headed Thrush is famous among birdwatchers for its extraordinarily sweet, flute-like, rich whistle—often echoing through damp, shaded ravines during early dawn and late dusk.

Woolly-necked Stork

Despite being large, heavy birds with wingspans reaching up to 1.5 meters, they are expert gliders. They catch rising warm air currents (thermals) to soar thousands of feet into the sky with barely a single wingbeat, traveling great distances between wetlands.
