Every fine leather product begins with careful craftsmanship.

A skiving knife is one of the most important tools in leathercraft. It is used to reduce the thickness of leather, making it easier to fold, stitch, and join pieces neatly. By reducing bulk, it helps achieve a clean finish and improves the overall quality of products such as wallets, bags, belts, and footwear.

At Leather Sector Skill Council (LSSC), trainees learn to use the right tools and techniques to create durable, high-quality leather products.
