It was setup under the project “Development of North-Eastern Region by enhancing the Training/Education capacity in the IECT area". The Centre is located at Hill Town, Tipaimukh Road, Churachandpur at the temporary premise provided by the Govt. The Centre’s permanent

campus is being setup on the 4.13 acres of land provided by Govt. The Centre became operational from January, 2013. The Centre was formally inaugurated by Secretary, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India on 19th August, 2013 through video conferencing in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur District
