Process for raising the complaint for issues related to GDS Online Engagement Portal

After successful registration, the candidate can log in to the GDS Online Engagement Portal. In
addition to the GDS Online Application–related options, the portal provides two more options like
Complaint Registration and My Complaints

1. Candidates facing issues in the GDS Online Engagement Portal, can click on the “Complaint
Registration” and can raise the complaint as follows:

2. Select the recruitment category, appropriate service and type in three subcategories like
“Registration Related”, “Application Related” and “Fee Payment Related” and circle to be applied along
with the complaint description. If required, supporting documents and relevant error screenshots can
also be attached and a complaint can be registered by clicking on the Register Complaint button.

3. Complaint will be registered and a unique 10-digit complaint ID will be generated and can be used
for future references.

4. To check the status of the raised/pending complaints, candidate can click on my complaints card.

5. On Click the Details of pending complaint, the reply given will be shown.

6. If the candidate satisfies with reply given, they can click on the closure confirmation button.

7. If yes button is clicked the complaint will be closed and feedback will be captured. If no button is
clicked, reopen button will be available. The complaint will be rerouted to the concerned circle office.

Fee Payment Instructions – GDS
1. Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility before making the fee payment.

2. Application Fee:

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) for online submission of the application.
The following categories are exempted from fee payment:
Female
Trans-woman
SC
ST
Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD)
3. Fee payment can be made only through online mode in the same portal. After submitting all application details, the portal will prompt for fee payment based on applicability.

4. Candidates must select the desired payment mode and complete the payment process.

5. Accepted payment modes include Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Net Banking and UPI through recognized payment gateways.

6. Payment gateway charges, as applicable, shall be borne by the candidate in addition to the application fee.

7. Candidates must complete the payment within 10 minutes after initiating the transaction.

8. If payment is not completed or the payment status is not updated in the GDS Online portal within 10 minutes for any reason, the transaction will be marked as failed.

9. Details of all failed payment transactions will be displayed on the payment page.

10. In case of failed payment(s), the candidate may initiate a fresh payment immediately and need not wait for settlement of the previous transaction.

11. If any amount is debited for a failed transaction, candidates are advised to contact the respective payment service provider (Bank / UPI App) for refund.

12. Candidates should disable popup blockers and enable redirect options in the browser while making the payment.

Important Note:

The Department of Posts will not be responsible for any payment failures due to technical issues, network problems, or incorrect payment details entered by the candidate.

Application Submission Instructions – GDS
1. After registration, the candidate must log in to start the application submission process.

2. Login: Enter the Registration Number as User ID and the password received on the registered mobile number, then enter the OTP received on the registered mobile number to log in.

3. Applicant’s Name will be auto populated as per the registration details.

4. Father’s/Mother’s Name will be auto populated as per the registration details.

5. Date of Birth will be auto populated as per the registration details.

6. Gender will be auto populated as per the registration details.

7. Community will be auto populated as per the registration details.

8. Mother’s Name will be auto populated as per the registration details. Registration details can be modified using the link “Click here to update the registration data”.

9. Marital Status: Select one option – Single, Married, Widow, Widower, Divorced, Separated, or Other.

10. Person with Disability (PwBD): Choose Yes or No. Selecting Yes will activate the PwBD Category dropdown.

11. PwBD Category: Select the appropriate category (A, B, C, D, E).

12. PwBD Sub Category: Select the appropriate sub category as per the selected category.

13. Employment Details: Choose Yes or No. Selecting Yes will activate the NOC Available dropdown.

14. NOC Available: Select Yes or No.

15. Address Details:

Enter both Present Address and Permanent Address.
If both are the same, select the checkbox to auto-copy.
No special characters (/, *, &, #, etc.) are permitted. Only dots (.), commas (,) and hyphens (-) are allowed.
16. SSC Circle: Select the SSC studied circle based on state (“Click here to know your circle”).

17. Year of Passing: Enter the SSC (Class X) passing year.

18. Board: Select the Board from the dropdown as per the SSC certificate.

19. Point/Grade/Marks: Select the result type and enter details as per the SSC certificate.

20. Marks Obtained: Select subjects/languages studied in SSC and enter the marks obtained carefully.

21. CGPA Score: Enter the CGPA as per the SSC certificate. Leave blank if not applicable.

22. Additional Languages: If applicable, select Yes and enter Circle, Year of Passing, Board, and languages studied.

23. Vacancies: Select Circle, then Division. Vacant posts will be displayed accordingly.

24. Local Language: Select the local language/dialect (applicable only for Arunachal Pradesh or Sikkim) and confirm the declaration.

25. Preferences: Select preference numbers for the displayed vacant posts. Preferences must be given for posts of any one division only.

26. Upload Photo & Signature:

Photo: 30 KB – 100 KB, aspect ratio 5:4 (portrait)
Signature: 20 KB – 50 KB, aspect ratio 5:2 (landscape)
27. Application Preview: Verify all details carefully and confirm the declaration before submission.

28. Application Fee: Rs. 100 (if applicable). Fee exemption applies as per notification. Fee once paid is non-refundable.

29. Application Submission: After successful fee payment, the application is treated as submitted and the Application Number will be sent to the registered mobile number.

30. Application Print: Under “My Applications”, click on Download PDF to download the application print.

Important Notes:

All original certificates must be produced during document verification.
Only one registration and application per candidate is allowed.
Duplicate or altered registrations are liable for cancellation.
Providing false information will result in cancellation of candidature.

Registration Instructions – Gist
1. Candidates must ensure that they are eligible to apply for GDS Online Engagement as per the GDS Engagement Notification before registering on the portal.

2. Online application requires mandatory registration. During registration, candidates must provide a unique mobile number and email ID, both of which will be verified through OTP. Registration will not be completed without successful OTP verification for both.

3. Registration Requirements:

Mobile Number: Valid 10-digit number
Email ID: Valid email address
4. Candidates must provide valid and active mobile number and email ID for all future communications.

5. Key Points:

No changes to mobile number or email ID are permitted during the process.
Deduplication is enforced: only one registration per candidate is allowed.
6. Applicant’s Name must be entered exactly as per the Secondary School Certificate (SSC).

7. Father’s/Mother’s Name must be entered exactly as per the SSC.

8. Date of Birth must be entered exactly as per the SSC.

9. Gender must be selected from the dropdown: Male / Female / Transgender Male / Transgender Female.

10. Community must be selected as per the community certificate.

11. A Registration Number will be generated by the system and communicated to the registered mobile number and email ID.
