हामी भारतका प्रधानमन्त्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदीज्यू र गृहमन्त्री श्री अमित शाहज्यूलाई यो सकारात्मक कदमका लागि आभार व्यक्त गर्दैछौं।
गोर्खा जनमुक्ति मोर्चाको गठन गोर्खा जातिको राजनीतिक पहिचान र अधिकार सुनिश्चित गर्ने एक मात्र उद्देश्यका साथ गरिएको थियो। यस उद्देश्यका लागि हामीले गोर्खाल्याण्ड राज्यको माग र ११ गोर्खा उप-जनजातिलाई अनुसूचित जनजाति (ST) को मान्यता दिलाउन करिब दुई दशक लामो राजनीतिक संघर्ष गरेका छौँ। गोर्खा जातिका राजनीतिक मागहरूलाई अगाडि बढाउन र अन्तिम रूप दिन वार्ताकार नियुक्त गरिएको निर्णयलाई हामी स्वागत गर्दछौँ।
दार्जिलिङका पहाड, तराई र डुवर्स क्षेत्रका जनताको दीर्घकालीन मागको समाधानतर्फ यो सकारात्मक कदम चालेकोमा हामी प्रधानमन्त्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदीज्यू र गृहमन्त्री श्री अमित शाहज्यूप्रति आभार प्रकट गर्दछौँ। साथै, यस चरणमा पुग्नका लागि निरन्तर प्रयास गर्ने दार्जिलिङ सांसद श्री राजु बिष्टा र अन्य गठबन्धनका नेताहरूप्रति पनि हामी धन्यवाद व्यक्त गर्दछौँ।
भारतीय संविधानको दायराभित्र हाम्रो क्षेत्रको स्थायी समाधान हुनु गोर्खा समुदायका अधिकारहरूको संरक्षणका लागि मात्र होइन, यस सम्पूर्ण क्षेत्रको समग्र प्रगति र समृद्धिका लागि पनि अत्यावश्यक छ। यो क्षेत्रका लेप्चा, भोटिया, शेर्पा, योल्मो, तामाङ, गुरुङ, मंगर, नेवार, राई, लिम्बु, थामी, याख्खा, सुनुवार, जोगी, सार्की, कामी, दमाई, सन्यासी, माझी, बंगाली र अन्य सबै समुदायहरूको साझा हितका लागि यो कदम महत्वपूर्ण छ। गोर्खा, राजबंशी, आदिवासी, बंगाली र अन्य समुदायहरूले यहाँ पुस्तौँदेखि मिलेर, आपसी सद्भावका साथ बास गर्दै आएका छन्। हामी त्यो दिनको प्रतीक्षा गर्दैछौँ जब हाम्रो क्षेत्रका प्रत्येक नागरिकले समान अधिकारका साथ एक उज्ज्वल भविष्य निर्माणमा सहभागी हुन पाउनेछ।
हामी हाम्रो क्षेत्रका अन्य राजनीतिक दलहरू र सामाजिक सङ्गठनहरूलाई पनि यस सकारात्मक कदमलाई स्वागत गर्न अनुरोध गर्दछौँ। यो महत्वपूर्ण घडीमा, हाम्रो पहिलो कर्तव्य व्यक्तिगत स्वार्थभन्दा माथि उठी, जनताको हितका लागि एकजुट भएर काम गर्नु हो।
हामी सबै राजनीतिक वा सामाजिक संलग्नता जस्तोसुकै किन नहोस् एकताका साथ अघि बढ्न आह्वान गर्दछौँ। केवल ऐक्यबद्धता र सहकार्यद्वारा नै हामी हाम्रो सबै जातिको हित हुने स्थायी, न्यायपूर्ण र समावेशी समाधान सुनिश्चित गर्न सक्छौँ।

We thank PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah for taking this positive step
The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha was formed with the sole aim of securing the political identity and rights of the Gorkha community. Towards this, we have dedicated nearly two decades of political activism for Gorkhaland state and granting of Scheduled Tribe status for the 11 Gorkha sub-tribes. We welcome the appointment of an interlocutor to take-forward and finalise the political demands of the Gorkha community.
We share our gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for taking this positive step towards resolving the concerns of the people from Darjeeling hills, Terai and Dooars region. We also thank Darjeeling MP Raju Bista and other Alliance leaders, who have unitedly worked to reach this stage.
A permanent solution under the Constitution of India for our region is not only vital for protecting the rights of the Gorkha community, but also essential for the overall progress and prosperity of the entire region, including the Lepcha, Bhutia, Sherpa, Yolmo, Tamang, Gurung, Mangar, Newar, Rai, Limbu, Thami, Yakkha, Sunuwar, Jogi, Sarki, Kami, Damai, Sanyasi, Majhi, Bangali, and other communities who live here. The Gorkha, Rajbongshi, Adivasi, Bengali, and other communities have coexisted here in harmony for generations. We look forward to the day when every individual in our region will have the opportunity to participate fully and equally in shaping a brighter future together.
We also request other political parties and social organisations from our region to welcome this positive development. At this critical juncture, our foremost duty is to rise above individual interests and work together with a common agenda for the betterment of our people and our region.
We call on everyone, regardless of their political or social affiliations, to join hands in unity, so that we can present a strong, collective voice. Only through solidarity and cooperation can we ensure a just, lasting, and inclusive solution that benefits every community in our region.
