On 7 July 2026, the Director, Department of Social Welfare, Uttarakhand, conducted a physical inspection of the Government De-addiction Centre, Raiwala, operated by the Department of Social Welfare, as well as the under-construction Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Hostel, Doiwala.
During the inspection, the Director reviewed the facilities, infrastructure, ongoing services, and overall functioning of the Government De-addiction Centre. He also inspected the progress of construction work at the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Hostel and emphasized the timely completion of the project while maintaining the prescribed quality standards.
