NMCG–WII जलज परियोजना के अंतर्गत हवाई अड्डा गांव में गंगा प्रहरी मुरारी कुमार द्वारा चेकर्ड कीलबैक (𝘍𝘰𝘸𝘭𝘦𝘢 𝘱𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳) सांप का सफलतापूर्वक बचाव किया गया। स्थानीय लोगों को बताया गया कि यह विषहीन सांप है। बचाव के बाद सांप को सुरक्षित रूप से कोतराहा वन प्रक्षेत्र में छोड़ दिया गया।

NMCG–WII जलज परियोजना के अंतर्गत गंगा जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया। लोगों को बढ़ते जलस्तर से सुरक्षित दूरी बनाए रखने तथा गंगा की स्वच्छता एवं निर्मलता बनाए रखने के लिए जागरूक किया गया। पूजा सामग्री, पॉलीथिन एवं अन्य कचरा गंगा में न डालने की अपील की गई।

जलज सेंटर विदुर में आए विजिटर्स को गंगा संरक्षण एवं जलीय जीव संरक्षण के प्रति जागरूक किया गया। इस दौरान गंगा प्रहरी द्वारा तैयार उत्पादों का प्रदर्शन किया गया, जिन्हें विजिटर्स ने खरीदकर गंगा प्रहरी के कार्यों की सराहना की।

NMCG–WII जलज परियोजना के अंतर्गत भारियानी गांव में एक घर से Buff-striped Keelback ( 𝘈𝘮𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘴𝘮𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘮 ) का सुरक्षित बचाव किया गया। स्थानीय लोगों को बताया गया कि यह एक विषहीन सांप है, जो मुख्य रूप से मेंढक और अन्य छोटे जीवों का भोजन करता है। सांप को सुरक्षित रूप से कोतराहा वन प्रक्षेत्र में छोड़ दिया गया। यह कार्य मानव–वन्यजीव सह-अस्तित्व और जैव विविधता संरक्षण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल है।

The programme concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognising their active participation and successful completion of the training, while encouraging them to explore resin art for skill development, income generation, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

The session encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly practices and support river and aquatic wildlife conservation.

An awareness programme was conducted under the NMCG–WII Jalaj Project (Jalaj Tamralipti) with students and teachers of Bholsara Darikanath High School. The session focused on the objectives of the Jalaj Project, reducing plastic use, proper waste disposal, recycling, sustainable practices, and protecting wildlife and aquatic species of the Rupnarayan River. Participants were encouraged to adopt eco-friendly practices and contribute to a cleaner environment and healthier river ecosystem.

A Tree Plantation Drive was conducted under the NMCG–WII Jalaj Project at Kalinagar. Students and local community members actively participated in the programme. The session highlighted the importance of tree plantation for nature and the need to protect aquatic biodiversity from plastic pollution. The importance of conserving the Ganga River ecosystem and aquatic species was also discussed.
