Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme was introduced in 1998 to facilitate and make accessible credit availability to the farmers. The scheme was to issue KCC to farmers on the basis of the land holdings so that the farmer can avail credit for purchase of agriculture input such as seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, and other production needs.
