School Accreditation Gunvatta Yatra Conducted in Hyderabad

The School Accreditation Gunvatta Yatra (SAGY), an initiative of NABET, Quality Council of India, was conducted in Hyderabad on 27 August 2026, bringing together representatives from 30+ schools for a day of orientation, dialogue, and engagement on accreditation and continuous improvement in school education.

Aligned with NEP 2020 and the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, SAGY aims to foster a culture of quality, accountability, and excellence across schools.

The Hyderabad edition was hosted at The Coliseum, The Creek Planet School, Mercury Campus, providing an engaging platform for school leaders and educators to connect, learn, and explore ways to strengthen quality practices.

The Quality Council of India (QCI), in partnership with ICMR, conducted a capacity-building and sensitization workshop at NIHR, Bhubaneswar to advance institutional accessibility and inclusion.

The workshop equipped participants with practical insights into universal design, accessible infrastructure, and inclusive healthcare, with a focus on translating these principles into action.

A constructive engagement towards strengthening the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) ecosystem in Karnataka.

Mr. Mohit Singh, Joint Director, QCI-NABET, and Dr. Yati Kachhawa, Deputy Director, QCI-NABET, had the privilege of meeting and engaging with Shri Srinivasulu, IFS, Principal Secretary, Forest, Ecology & Environment, Government of Karnataka, to deliberate on strengthening the quality and effectiveness of EIA practices across the State.

The discussions focused on the proposed series of awareness and capacity-building programmes for EIA Consultant Organisations and officials of the State Expert Appraisal Committee (SEAC), State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA), and Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB).

The team also met Mr. Ramesh B. R., IFS, Member Secretary, SEAC Karnataka, and engaged with NABET-accredited EIA Consultant Organisations to discuss measures for enhancing technical capacity, quality and effectiveness across the EIA ecosystem.

The engagement marks a meaningful step towards strengthening environmental governance, institutional capacity and quality-driven EIA practices in Karnataka.
