WISH and Transform Health India jointly organized a launch event in Jaipur on March 12, 2024, to achieve the universal health coverage through the expanded use of digital technology. The primary objective of the event was to introduce all coalition members of the Transform Health India Rajasthan Coalition (THIRC) and disseminate the landscape study. The event was attended by over 60 experts.

WISH successfully organized the conclave "Future Forward: Strategies in Comprehensive Primary Healthcare" in New Delhi on January 18, 2024. This event served as a platform for diverse experts to convene and engage in discussions regarding the transformative influence of innovations and collaborations in attaining excellence in Comprehensive Primary Healthcare.

The panel discussions encompassed the following themes:
Urban Health; Newer Challenges of NCDs and Unfinished agenda of RMNCAH
Dissecting the Internet of Medical Things & AI
Health Systems Strengthening for effective Comprehensive Primary Health Care
Future Forward Call-To-Action: Optimism about the potential transformation of the primary healthcare sector through innovative scalable solutions powered by AI & IoT

There was participation from experts and eminent organizations like World Bank, UNRC, MoHFW, USAID, AIIMS Rishikesh, UNICEF, Urban Health 360, RTSL, Engender Health, PATH, IPE Global, eVaidya, AWS India, Jhpiego, Global Health Alliance-UK, PHFI, INCLEN, among others.

WISH hosted an Expert Group Discussion on "Health of Data & Data For Health - an Urban Perspective" in the august presence of chief guest Dr. Vinod K Paul, Member, NITI Aayog and launched a factsheet "Navigating Urban Health Through Data Lens" which will pave the way for future strategies in strengthening and improving upon the urban healthcare system.

It was followed by a panel discussion which had eminent key opinion leaders and subject matter experts namely Dr. K.K. Tripathy, Economic Adviser & Joint Secretary, NUHM, MoHFW, GoI; Dr. J. Skilling and up-skilling to improve the uptake of healthcare services and enhance patient satisfaction

To train the operators of digital health and wellness centers on the use of point-of-care devices (PoCDs) and telemedicine, WISH in Guwahati, Assam, conducted a training program with the help of the Rural India Supporting Trust.

The government's increasing attention to mental health is a good sign!
Under the Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centers, mental health services are now a part of the extended package of services under comprehensive primary health care (CPHC) (AB-HWCs). In order to further the government's priority, WISH provided technical support for establishing Tele-MANAS Units at the mental hospitals in Indore and Gwalior, as well as a mentorship institute at AIIMS Bhopal.

In collaboration with LEHS | WISH, the department of community medicine at KGMU offers healthcare to the underprivileged residents of Shravasti district and Sarojini Nagar in Lucknow. Digital technology has made it possible for the patient to speak with qualified specialists from several KGMU departments. Dr. Navneet Ranjan, State Head of WISH UP, and Maj. Dr. VP Srivastava discussed the advantages of telemedicine consultations with listeners on 89.6 MHz.

There's a great need for collaboration between the states, because some of the southern states, for instance, have done very well in healthcare. Maybe the Niti Aayog or some other national body could do this. And then that would be a win-win situation and a learning curve for all the states post-COV...

To strengthen health services in PHC Kurawar, we organized a sawsthya camp in the Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. We used point-of-care devices to identify NCDs related to critical cardiovascular conditions, blood tests, and hemoglobin levels.

We installed a TrueNat machine at Titharia APHC in Shravasti District, Uttar Pradesh. Truenat is a portable, battery-operated device that helps diagnose TB on the spot. It helps identify resistance to rifampicin drugs. The Truenat test got incorporated into India's National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme after recommendations from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). #india
