CBDT All Set for Special Campaign 6.0!

Officers and officials of the Income Tax Department are all set to participate in Special Campaign 6.0.

Field offices across various Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Pr. CCsIT) Regions have been actively undertaking Swachhata initiatives and related activities throughout the year, reflecting the Department’s continued commitment to cleanliness and to creating a clean, safe and conducive working environment.

Renovation Drive

Under the aegis of the Swachhata Drive, renovation work was undertaken in the corridor of the Central Revenue Building, ITO, Delhi.

The initiative has enhanced the safety of working personnel and visitors while creating a cleaner, safer and more welcoming environment for employees and visitors.

Plantation Drive

A plantation drive was organised by the Office of the Pr. CCIT, North Eastern Region, on the occasion of World Environment Day at the premises of Priscilla Centre, an NGO providing life-skill training to economically marginalised communities, near Accoland, Guwahati.

Income Tax officials and members of the NGO actively participated in the initiative. A talk was also delivered on the importance of maintaining a clean and green environment, further reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility.

Utilisation of Space

As part of the Swachhata Drive, the Office of the Pr. CCIT, Chennai, put the unused dump yard premises of the Central Revenue Quarters, Anna Nagar, Chennai, to productive use by constructing a basketball court.

The initiative not only contributed to maintaining the cleanliness of the area but also transformed an unused space into a recreational facility. The basketball court is highly beneficial for the physical and mental well-being of resident officials and their families.

These initiatives reflect the Income Tax Department’s continued efforts towards Swachhata, sustainability, better utilisation of public spaces and a healthier, more conducive working environment.
