PHDCCI successfully concluded Day 1 of BHARAT DRONE MANTHAN – 3.0, bringing together policymakers, defence leadership, government representatives, industry experts, startups, innovators, academia, investors, and skilling institutions under the theme "Vision to Action—Powering India's Deep-Tech Future."

The inaugural session was graced by Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Air Staff, Indian Air Force, as the Chief Guest, along with Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, PVSM, AVSM, VM, VSM, Vice Chief of the Air Staff, Indian Air Force.

Meeting with Shri Bharat Khera, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of MSME, Government of India

A PHDCCI delegation comprising of Shri Sanjeev Gupta, Co-Chair, BFSI Committee, Ms. Shalini S. Sharma, Assistant Secretary General; Ms. Babeeta Sharma, Director; and Mr. Sanjay Ahuja, Joint Secretary, called on Shri Bharat Khera, IAS, Secretary , Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, at his office in New Delhi today on 29 July 2026.

The delegation invited the Hon'ble Secretary to grace PHDCCI's Conference on "MSME Financing: A Key Driver for Viksit Bharat @2047" and PHDCCI's 2nd MSME Banking & NBFC Excellence Sammaan – 2026, to be held on 10 September 2026 at LPS Auditorium, PHD House, New Delhi, as the Guest of Honour.

The meeting focused on key issues relating to MSME financing, including improving access to working capital and equity finance, strengthening the role of SIDBI and financial institutions, promoting innovative financing models, and reviewing the SME IPO framework. PHDCCI highlighted the conference as a national platform to foster dialogue among policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders to strengthen the MSME financing ecosystem in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

The interaction was highly productive and constructive, paving the way for closer collaboration between the Ministry of MSME and PHDCCI on initiatives to strengthen the MSME ecosystem.

The 9th Meeting of the Chandigarh District Skill Committee (DSC) was chaired by Sh. Nishant Kumar Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, UT Chandigarh.

Ms. Bharti Sood, Sr. Regional Director, PHDCCI, and Mr. Naveen Kumar, Resident Manager, PHDCCI, attended the meeting on behalf of Chandigarh Chapter, PHDCCI.

The meeting focused on strengthening the Chandigarh District Skill Committee through discussions on:
* Briefing the new members and special invitees on the mandate of the DSC.
* Review of the Action Taken Report (ATR) of the 8th DSC Meeting.
* Department-wise Skill Development Review.
* Progress review of PMKVY 4.0.
* Review of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
* Review of India Skills Competition 2025 and preparations for the upcoming edition.
* Discussion on the District Skill Development Action Plan 2026–27.
* Deliberation on the way forward to enhance skill development initiatives and strengthen coordination among all stakeholders.

PHDCCI reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Chandigarh Administration in promoting industry-driven skill development and employability initiatives.
