Indian Corporate Law Service - ICLS

Indian Corporate Law Service - ICLS ICLS, a Group a Central Civil Service is the regulatory service for corporate regulation in India. After the FC, training is conducted at ICLS Academy.

The Indian Corporate Law Service (ICLS) is the corporate regulation/facilitation/integration/education service of Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) of Government of India (GoI). It is a Group 'A' Central Services of Government of India and recruitment is through Union Public Service Commission's Civil Services Examination (UPSC - CSE). Training of ICLS officer begins with the 3 month Foundation

Course (FC) together with other civil services officers. The ICLS Academy, located at Manesar Campus of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), has the responsibility of conducting the induction training for the Probationary Officers (POs) belonging to the Indian Corporate Law Service (ICLS). Officer are trained in Management, Accounts, LLP Act 2008 and Companies Act, 1956/2013. The Comprehensively designed module of Induction Training for the newly recruited ICLS officers is intended to expose them to the Indian corporate law, and to prepare them for corporate regulation through e-Governance more popularly known as the MCA21. Initial postings would be as Assistant Registrar of Companies, Assistant Official Liquidator attached to High Court in various jurisdictions, Bench Officer in Company Law Board(CLB) and as Assistant Director in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs as well as in the office of Regional Director.http://persmin.gov.in/ais1/Docs/ServiceProfileICLS.pdf

Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Sh. Manoj Sinha today interacted with the Officer Trainees of 2022 Batch of Indian Corporate Law Service (ICLS), at Raj Bhawan.

The Officer Trainees, led by Deputy ROC J&K, Sh. Haamid Bukhari, ICLS, shared the experience and learning from their visit to Jammu Kashmir, as a part of Domestic Study Tour.

They also briefed the Lt. Governor on the functioning of the offices of Registrar of Companies (ROCs) and the dual mandate of ICLS in maintaining the Regulation, developmental role as well as effective enforcement of multiple corporate laws.

The Lt. Governor extended his best wishes and asked the probationers to work with honesty and dedication in regulating and enforcing corporate laws.

Sh. Haamid Bukhari, ICLS represented ROC Jammu & Kashmir in the UT Level Coordination Committee meeting chaired by Chief Secretary, J&K, at the Civil Secretariat, Jammu.

Among the participants were Principal Secretaries Home and Finance, Special/Additional DGPs Crime and CID, Administrative Secretary Law, Registrars of Cooperatives, Chits besides senior functionaries of RBI.

This was 34th such meeting convened by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) annually.
