Delhi to get 17 Lakh New houses in the land pooling areas. Over 5 lakh Houses for the Economically weaker sections. Lakhs of farmers to be benefitted.

DDA finally approves land pooling policy.

The Delhi Development Authority's land pooling policy, which is expected to meet the residential needs of about 95 lakh people besides stimulating economic growth, has finally been approved, BJP MLA Vijender Gupta has confirmed.

It was cleared at the Authority's board meeting chaired by the lieutenant governor Anil Baijal on Friday.

"The policy is likely to be notified within two to three weeks. It will pave the way for creation of affordable housing stock in Delhi," Gupta told Moneycontrol.

Delhi: Land pooling to pave way for 24 lakh new houses in Dwarka-like sub-cities in L Zone United Constructions United One
Master Plan of Delhi (MPD) 2021 projects that population in the city will be 230 lakh by 2021. Delhi will require 24 lakh new dwelling units. DDA has built only 11.69 lakh residential units in the city till now.
The land pooling policy will fuel a housing boom in the Capital with 24 lakh dwelling units to become available in the next five years.

L-G nod to development of 95 villages under Land Pooling Policy - The villages come under the 1957 Delhi Development Act in five zones including Zone K-1, Zone L, Zone N, Zone P-II, and Zone J. These zones have 20, 30, 21, 23, and 1 village, respectively.
