The minister also said that micro and small industries need to be nurtured and that they should be provided government support. It will be the first time that the Indian space agency will be sending five commercial satellites in one go. Till date, India has sent 40 satellites of other countries, if this launch is successful, the tally will go up to 45. A lot of the components in the launch vehicles have been supplied by the MSME sector of the country. It will indeed be a proud moment for the country if the launch is successful.

Dr. Anup K. Pujari Wednesday assumed charge as new Secretary of Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, and informed ministry. Anup K. Pujari, IAS of Karnataka cadre, has succeeded former MSME Secretary Madhav Lal, who retired on Monday. Dr. Pujari, an officer of 1980 batch of IAS, was previously Secretary of the Ministry of Mines.

K’taka small industries get exemption from lease policy.
In a huge relief, the MSMEs in Karnataka will be exempted from the lease policy. The industries will be given lease of plots for 10 years, but if they do not show any significant progress in two years, that plot will be taken from them.
