Global AgriSystem started Indian operations as Cebeco India Private Limited in 1998, in a joint venture with the Royal Cebeco Group Co-operative of the Netherlands. Royal Cebeco Group Co-op

erative, the National Agriculture Holding Co-operative with 29 regional co-operatives and over 100 operating companies had an annual turnover of over Euro 8 billion contributing to over 50% of Dutch agriculture. In June 2003, ownership was transferred to the Indian promoters under the Katra Group and Cebeco India was re-named Global AgriSystem.
