INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA HELD AT DIMAPUR GOVT. COLLEGE.

21.06.2022: DGC observed the International Day of Yoga under the theme, “Yoga for Humanity.” For this year’s Yoga Day, the ministry of AYUSH observed the International Yoga Day from 75 Iconic locations from across the country, and under the directive of the UGC, Dimapur Govt. College also observed the International Yoga day. The online address of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi on the occasion from Mysuru Palace from 06:40 AM onwards was attended online by the NCC boys of the college. This followed the International Yoga Day program at the college auditorium which was organised by the Sports Committee of the College. The highlight of the programme was the conduct of a yoga session which was led by noted Yoga Trainer Ms. Orentsani Kikon, who currently runs the Orentsani Aesthetic Fitness, Dimapur, she was ably aided by Ms. Medoseno Nagi, Senior Asstt. Instructor at Orentsani Aesthetic Fitness, Dimapur. The programme was chaired by Dr. Hare Krushna Parhi, Asstt. Prof, Dept of Education and saw the active participation of principal Dr. M. Libanthung Ngullie, and faculty members along with NCC and students of the college. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem led by the NCC.

MoU Signed between DGC and City College of Arts and Commerce, Dimapur
As part of “Academic Collaboration”, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Dimapur Govt. College, Dimapur and City College of Arts and Commerce, Dimapur on 30th May 2022 at Dimapur Govt. College for a period of two (2) years, which is subject to renewal and extension, having agreed to jointly organize symposia, conferences, short courses and meetings on research activities. Literary activities, games and sports will also be jointly organized. Both parties also agreed to provide access to the library facilities for both faculty and students. The MoU was signed by the Principal of Dimapur Govt. College Dr. M. Libanthung Ngullie and the Principal of City College of Arts and Commerce Dr. Nalina Kumar. The signing of the MoU is done with the objective of with the objective of enhancing academic and research activities.

As part of “Educational Collaboration”, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Dimapur Govt. College, Dimapur and Salt Christian College, Dimapur on 27th May 2022 at Dimapur Govt. College for a period of one (1) year, which is subject to renewal and extension, having agreed to jointly organize co-curricular and Extra-Curricular activities for the students; and to promote research activities for faculties and exchange information relating to teaching and research in fields of mutual interest. The MoU was signed by the Principal of Dimapur Govt. College Dr. M. Libanthung Ngullie and the Principal of Salt Christian College Dr. Rinky Choudhury. The signing of the MoU is done with the objective of enhancing Teaching/Learning programs.

As part of “Institutional Collaboration”, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Dimapur Govt. College, Dimapur and Unity College, Dimapur on 26th May 2022 at Dimapur Govt. College for a period of three (3) years, which is subject to renewal and extension, having agreed to jointly participate in programs relating to respective college activities which will include faculty exchange programs, to organize and conduct research activities, and also organize activities and competitions with regard to sports, literary and cultural programs. The MoU was signed by the Principal of Dimapur Govt. College Dr. M. Libanthung Ngullie and his counterpart from Unity College Dr. Lichumo Enie. The signing of the MoU seeks to foster institutional growth through wider collaboration, networking and exchange of resources between the two colleges.
