The District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Karbi Anglong along with the District Administration are working in close coordination to provide necessary assistance and support to the flood-affected families.
Rescue operations, relief distribution, field-level monitoring, and necessary emergency measures are being carried out in the affected areas and vulnerable river-side locations. All concerned departments and field-level Officers/Staffs & Volunteer are working together to ensure the safety and well-being of the affected people.

Due to heavy rainfall, flood like situation has occurred on 08/08/2026 at Kekang Porhar village under Phuloni Revenue Circle. The situation is under control and the flood water is receding ; but the heavy rainfall along with the storm affected several households. After receiving the information our Field level officers (ARO, FO, LM etc.) along with the line departments officials and staffs have visited the sites and immediately inspected the situation. After that our field level officials distributed the relief items (GR) to the flood affected households (25 nos.) in 1 no. of relief distribution centre Singnar camp; total affected population 144 nos.
List of GR items distributed are as follows:
I. Rice: 2.35 Qtl.
II. Dal: 0.43 Qtl.
III. Mustard Oil: 13 Ltr.
IV. Salt: 0.13 Qtl.
V. Biscuits: 40 Pkts.
VI. Phenyl: 25 Ltr.
VII. Mosquito Coil: 25 Pkts.
VIII. Sanitary napkin: 49 Pkts.
Poultry washed away: 16 nos.

Due to heavy rainfall, flood like situation has occurred on 08/08/2026 at 3nos. of villages (Japarajan 'C' & N.C., Moukhuti N.C., Jabarajan 'C' & N.C.) under Silonijan Revenue Circle. Heavy rainfall along with the storm affected several households, poultry and animals and also flash flood occurred in that areas. After receiving the information our Field level officers (ARO, FO, LM etc.) along with the line departments officials and staffs have visited the sites and immediately started the search & rescue operations with the help of our rescue agencies like F&ES, SDRF, CQRT and DDRF volunteers. After being rescued, all the victims were shifted to a nearby relief camp which has been setup immediately. Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) also setup with the help of Social Welfare department. Relief items (GR) are distributed to the flood affected households/ people. The total affected population is 457 nos.

I. Rice: 6.32 Qtl.
II. Dal: 1.24 Qtl.
III. Mustard Oil: 37.44 Ltr.
IV. Salt: 0.374 Qtl.
V. Biscuits: 104 Pkts.
VI. Phenyl: 104 Ltr.
VII. Mosquito Coil: 104 Pkts.
VIII. Sanitary napkin: 280 Pkts.
IX. Tarpaulin: 104 Pcs.
X. Soap: 104 Pcs.
Poultry affected: 2650 nos.
Animal: Big- 76 nos. & Small- 215 nos.
Relief Camp: 1 no.- PanBari L.P. School
Relief distribution centre: 2 nos.- PanBari L.P. School & Japrajan
1 no. of medical team is setup at Silanijan area.

Due to heavy rainfall along with the storm, flash flood like situations has occurred in this area. 1 no. of Infrastructure damaged (Culvert approach road No. 1/1) under PWD (Roads) has been reported in Laharijan NC near Laharijan English ME School of Diphu under Bokajan Sub-Division. Temporary measures have been taken by the PWD Borpathar Roads Division to address the situation and ensure the safety and smooth movement of the public.
