I am profoundly dismayed and saddened to learn of the demise of veteran politician Sri Birensing Engti, former Member of Parliament and Union Minister of State during Rajiv Gandhi's tenure as Prime Minister and former Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), which occurred this morning. His monumental contributions to the people of Karbi Anglong and his tireless dedication to societal service will forever be etched in our memories. I offer my sincerest condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, and well-wishers during this trying time. May his soul find eternal peace.
