Voluntary organizations from Santhal Pargana convened a State Level Workshop in Dumka focused on the health, education, and Protection of adolescent girls. The workshop created a platform for dialogue between policymakers, civil society, and adolescent girls from across the region, highlighting the need for coordinated action to address gaps in services and protection.
The session was attended by Respected MLA Dr. Louis Marandi, Mrs. Kiran Kumari, Member of the Child Welfare Committee and Senior Advocate Dumka, and Shri Sudhir Mandal, Vice-Chairperson of the Zila Parishad Dumka. Representatives from NGOs and adolescent girls from different parts of Santhal Pargana actively participated, sharing ground-level insights and recommendations.
Discussions centered on strengthening access to menstrual health and nutrition services, improving retention of girls in schools, and building community-based safety mechanisms. The workshop reinforced the importance of listening to adolescent girls as key stakeholders in designing programs that directly affect their well-being and future opportunities.
