NHAI would like to inform that a sinkhole has been observed on the LHS service road near IFFCO Chowk. The affected area has been immediately barricaded as a safety measure. Preliminary inspection indicates leakage from the GMDA sewer line beneath the location, resulting in soil erosion and road settlement. NHAI has taken up the matter with GMDA for immediate rectification, as the issue may pose a risk to nearby structures. Joint inspection by GMDA and NHAI officials is underway, and necessary corrective measures are being taken on priority. Also, dewaring of sink hole is under progress with 4 tractor mounted pumps by NHAI team.
There is no major traffic disruption and the traffic has been diverted to another service road along the same section.
