Then Mr. Robert Hutch founded a town on the north bank of Ghaghar river. Because this town was established by Madam Ellena so he announced that this town will be called as Ellenabad. After that this town is known as Ellenabad till date. Now Ellenabad is situated as an entry point to come Haryana on Rajasthan Border. It is only 5 KM far from Rajasthan. It has about 40,000 population. The Great Maharaja Ganga Singh connected Ellenabad with train in 1927. Ellenabad is constituency of Haryana Vidhan Sabha and recently it is declared as General Seat. Ch. Om Parkash Chautala was 1st M.L.A. from Ellenabad. It is declared as a municipal committee in 1987.
