Under the Development Action Plan for Schedule Tribe (DAPST), one-day capacity-building programme was successfully organized at Village Ullu Pura, Block Bhusawar, District Bharatpur, Rajasthan, with the active participation of 110 goat farmers, including 70 women and 40 men. The programme focused on enhancing farmers' knowledge of scientific goat farming practices and creating awareness about the effects of El Niño on livestock productivity and its mitigation strategies. Essential livestock-related inputs were distributed to the participating beneficiaries to support improved goat husbandry practices. The programme concluded successfully. Today, July 17, 2026, ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Goats (CIRG) had the distinct honor of hosting Dr. Surjit Singh Makker, Professor of Practice at Bihar Animal Sciences University (BASU), Patna, as our Special Guest! 🐐✨

Dr. Makker, an internationally acclaimed veterinarian and former Joint Director (AH), Govt. of Punjab, brings over 30 years of expertise and a rare blend of traditional veterinary science and modern technological innovation. Certified in Advanced AI for Digital Health and Imaging from IISc Bengaluru, he is a true visionary in integrating holistic practices with cutting-edge AI.

Under the Chairmanship of Dr. M.K. Singh, the interactive meeting brought together our scientists, technical staff, Young Professionals, and students. Organized by Dr. K. Gururaj (Incharge, PME Section), the session sparked incredible discussions on the future of animal healthcare.

Dr. M.K. Singh extended a warm welcome and hailed the presentation as highly informative and essential for the betterment of livestock health and productivity, especially in the caprine sector.

Dr. K. Gururaj concluded the event by thanking Dr. Makker for his wonderful insights into the transformative applications of AI-driven digital health and veterinary homeopathy.

केंद्रीय बकरी अनुसंधान संस्थान मखदूम, मथुरा द्वारा आज संस्थान के 130वें राष्ट्रीय प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ माननीय प्रोफेसर एस. पी.सिंह बघेल, राज्य मंत्री, पशुपालन मत्स्य एवं डेयरी तथा पंचायती राज ने किया। इस कार्यक्रम में 14 राज्यों (उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश, राजस्थान, बिहार, दिल्ली, असम, महाराष्ट्र, गुजरात, छत्तीसगढ़, झारखंड, तेलंगाना, पंजाब, हरियाणा एवं पश्चिम बंगाल) से आये 108 प्रशिक्षणार्थियों (98 पुरुष एवं 10 महिलाओ) ने भाग लिया है । इस अवसर पर मंत्री जी ने कहा कि बकरी गरीब की कामधेनू है जिससे किसान अपनी आर्थिक स्थिति मजबूत कर आत्मनिर्भर बन सकता है तथा सरकार द्वारा पशुपालन से संबंधित योजनाओं को भी बताया साथ ही खेत बचाओ अभियान के अंतर्गत नैनो यूरिया एवं डी. ए. पी. पर प्रकाश डाला और पशुओं द्वारा उत्पादित गोबर की खाद बनाकर उसके उपयोग पर बल दिया। किसानों को पशु चिकित्सालयों में सुविधाओं को बढ़ाने की बात कही। इस अवसर पर कृषकों को पशुपालन में आने वाली प्रमुख समस्याओं को सुन और सुधार के लिए आश्वस्त किया। उद्घाटन सत्र के बाद मंत्री जी ने संस्थान में लगे हाइड्रोपोनिक चारा यूनिट, पैलेट फीड प्लांट, एकीकृत कृषि प्रणाली (आई.एफ.एस.)मॉडल एवं बरबरी फॉर्म का भ्रमण कर वैज्ञानिकों से जानकारी प्राप्त की। इस अवसर पर संस्थान के निदेशक, विभागाध्यक्ष, समस्त वैज्ञानिक एवं कर्मचारी गण उपस्थित रहे।

केंद्रीय बकरी अनुसंधान संस्थान (CIRG), मखदूम ने मनाया 47वां स्थापना दिवस और 'द्वितीय राष्ट्रीय बकरी दिवस'! 🐐

12 जुलाई, 2026 को संस्थान परिसर में शोध, नवाचार और विस्तार कार्यों की उत्कृष्टता को प्रदर्शित करता एक भव्य कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया गया।

✨ कार्यक्रम की मुख्य झलकियाँ:

🎬 उद्घाटन: मुख्य अतिथि डॉ. यशपाल सिंह मलिक (उप महानिदेशक - कृषि शिक्षा, ICAR, नई दिल्ली) और संस्थान निदेशक डॉ. मनीष कुमार चेटली द्वारा दीप प्रज्ज्वलन और वृक्षारोपण के साथ किया गया।

🤝 विशिष्ट अतिथि: डॉ. तरु शर्मा (IVRI), श्री वेंकट श्रीकर पटेल (DFO मथुरा), डॉ. आशुतोष वर्मा (लिंकन यूनिवर्सिटी, अमेरिका) और श्री सोनपाल (दीनदयाल शोध संस्थान) जैसे गणमान्य लोग उपस्थित रहे। इसके साथ ही कई केंद्रीय राज्यमंत्रियों और स्थानीय जनप्रतिनिधियों ने अपने शुभकामना संदेश भेजे।

📈 शानदार उपलब्धियाँ: पिछले 1 वर्ष में संस्थान ने 18 राज्यों के 2,500 प्रतिभागियों को प्रशिक्षित किया, 7 तकनीकी पेटेंट दर्ज किए, 11 MoU साइन किए और किसानों की सुविधा के लिए 'अजा परी' (पशु एम्बुलेंस) सेवा शुरू की।

🌱 सामाजिक सरोकार: इस विशेष अवसर पर वन विभाग के सहयोग से संस्थान परिसर में 'मेगा वृक्षारोपण अभियान' चलाया गया। साथ ही, पार्क हॉस्पिटल आगरा के सहयोग से स्थानीय नागरिकों और पशुपालकों के लिए 'निःशुल्क स्वास्थ्य शिविर' का आयोजन भी हुआ।

🤝 नया प्रयास: भरतपुर (राजस्थान) में तकनीकी सहयोग के लिए एक नए 'बकरी पालक स्वयं सहायता समूह' की शुरुआत की गई।

🏆 सम्मान समारोह: बकरी पालन और अनुसंधान के क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट योगदान देने वाले वैज्ञानिकों, कर्मचारियों और प्रगतिशील बकरी पालक किसानों को प्रोत्साहन पुरस्कार देकर सम्मानित किया गया।

संस्थान निदेशक डॉ. मनीष कुमार चेटली ने संस्थान के 47 वर्षों के गौरवशाली सफर में योगदान देने वाले सभी वैज्ञानिकों, पूर्व निदेशकों और किसान भाइयों का सहृदय आभार व्यक्त किया। 🙏✨
