Power Plant Familiarization Training Programme for Participants from Senegal Commences at NPTI
Faridabad: A four-week training programme on Power Plant Familiarization and Operations for the participants from Sendou Power Station (CES), Senegal, commenced at the National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Sector-33, Faridabad. The training programme is being conducted from 03 August to 28 August 2026.
The programme was inaugurated by Shri Hemant Jain, Director General, NPTI and Member (Grid Operation & Distribution), Central Electricity Authority (CEA), and Dr. Indu Maheshwari, Principal Director (Training), NPTI, with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana.
Addressing the participants, Shri Hemant Jain stated that such international training programmes play an important role in strengthening technical cooperation and friendly relations between India and Senegal. He also highlighted the various technical and practical aspects of power plant operations that would be covered during the training programme.
The programme will provide participants with theoretical and practical training on power plant operation, maintenance, and various technical aspects. The initiative reflects NPTIโs commitment to international capacity building in the energy sector and promoting technical cooperation between India and African countries.
The programme is being coordinated by Dr. Mahendra Singh, Deputy Director; Shri Rahul Pandey, Deputy Director; and Shri Anurag Rai, Assistant Director, NPTI.
