11th and Last Webinar of 'Dehri Dialogues' on the topic "Nurturing Democracy through Higher Education: Instilling Constitutional Values Among Students"

Today, the IQAC of Wazir Ram Singh Govt. College Dehri concluded its year-long National Webinar Series on Contemporary Concerns in Higher Education, with a powerful 11th session. We were joined by Dr. Anil Kumar P from the Central University of Kerala, who delivered a profound discourse on instilling constitutional values in our students.
The session moved beyond theory, highlighting that:
Critical Thinking is Key: Education must move from mere "knowledge transfer" to being "knowledge enriched," empowering students to build their own independent thoughts.
Classrooms as Democratic Spaces: Encouraging open discussions and deliberations is essential to creating truly inclusive learning environments.
The Teacher’s Mission: A teacher’s role is vital in moving beyond a simple "political democracy" to fostering a deep, lived "social democracy" within the community.
As we wrap up this series, we are reminded that our role as educators is to shape not just professionals, but conscious citizens who uphold the spirit of our Constitution.
