Action Against Illegal Mining Continues.

GANDERBAL POLICE SEIZES 14 VEHICLES FOR ILLEGAL EXTRACTION & TRANSPORTATION OF MINOR MINERALS ACROSS THE DISTRICT.

Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining and transportation of minerals, Ganderbal Police in the last five days seized 14 Vehicles, including 07 Tippers, 05 Tractors & 02 Tata Mobiles for illegal extraction of Minor Minerals across the district.

These vehicles were found extracting and transporting mining material without valid authorization, in violation of the prescribed norms. Accordingly, the vehicles were seized on the spot and the matter was taken up with the concerned Geology & Mining Department, which subsequently imposed the requisite fine under the relevant provisions of law.

Ganderbal Police reiterated its commitment to curb illegal mining activities in the district and urged the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in protecting natural resources. Strict action will continue against those found indulging in such unlawful practices.

GANDERBAL POLICE FACILITATES EDUCATIONAL VISIT TO STUDENTS AT POLICE STATION LAR, GET ACQUAINTED WITH POLICE WORKING.

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen police-public relations and promote awareness among young minds, Ganderbal Police today facilitated an educational visit to students from Birla Open Minds International School, Khurhama at Police Station Lar.

During the visit, the students were briefed about the general functioning of a Police Station at the police-station level, including the various sections and their respective roles in maintaining law and order and providing services to the public.

The students also visited different sections of the Police Station and interacted with police personnel, gaining firsthand knowledge about the day-to-day functioning of the police force, its responsibilities, and its role in ensuring the safety and security of society.
The interaction provided the students with an opportunity to understand the importance of discipline, public service, community cooperation and responsible citizenship.

Ganderbal Police remains committed to foster a meaningful engagement with students and educational institutions and creating greater awareness about the role of police in building a safe, secure and harmonious society.

GANDERBAL POLICE ACCORDS WARM FAREWELL TO TWO POLICE PERSONNEL ON SUPERANNUATION.

Ganderbal Police organised a warm farewell function at DPO Ganderbal to honour two police personnel, including a Sub-Inspector and an SPO, on their superannuation.

On the occasion, Dy.SP DAR Shri Altaf Khan-JKPS, along with other officers and staff, appreciated the retiring personnel for their dedicated, sincere and exemplary service to the Jammu & Kashmir Police. The officers lauded their commitment and valuable contributions during their years of service and expressed gratitude for their professionalism and devotion to duty.

As a mark of respect and appreciation, the retiring personnel were felicitated with mementos. The officers conveyed heartfelt wishes for their good health, happiness and a peaceful and fulfilling post-retirement life.

GANDERBAL POLICE CONDUCTED WILD CANNABIS DESTRUCTION DRIVE AT KULPORA SAFAPORA.

As part of the “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir”, Ganderbal Police conducted a wild cannabis destruction drive at Kulpora & adjoining areas in the jurisdiction of Police Station Safapora.

During the drive, wild cannabis plants growing along roadside and other various locations was thoroughly identified and systematically uprooted and destroyed, eliminating potential sources of substance abuse and safeguarding the younger generation from the harmful consequences of drug addiction.

Ganderbal Police remains firmly committed to its mission of making the district drug-free and strengthening collective efforts against the menace of drugs.

The public is urged to remain vigilant and extend active cooperation by identifying and reporting illicit drug activities and cultivation to the Police.

As part of the “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir” campaign, Ganderbal Police, in collaboration with the Excise Department, conducted a joint Wild Cannabis Destruction Drive at Lar, Wandhama & adjoining areas.

During the drive, wild cannabis plants growing along roadside and other various locations was thoroughly identified and systematically uprooted and destroyed, eliminating potential sources of substance abuse and safeguarding the younger generation from the harmful consequences of drug addiction.
