The Third Coordination Meeting of “Sikkim for Nepal” was held today under the direction of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) and the guidance of Shri Lakpa Moktan, State Level Youth President, SKM Youth Wing.

The meeting was attended by Hon’ble MLA Shri Sanjeet Kharel, Hon’ble Mayor Smt. Tshering Palden Bhutia, Shri Karma S***a (OSD to HCM), Hon’ble SIMFED Chairman Shri. Tenzing Dorjee Bhutia & Shri Sonam Norgay Lachungpa (Chairman), Shri Bishal Pokhrel (APS, Pakyong District), Shri A.K. Ghatani (Advisor), Shri Deepen S***a (OSD), Shri Phurba Ringzing Sherpa (Chairman), CLC President Gangtok Shri Sanjeev Gurung, Shri Pravin Agarwal (Treasurer), Smt. Ranjana Pradhan (President, Press & Publicity), along with active party karyakartas.

As part of this humanitarian initiative, a 15-member team comprising specialized doctors and rescue volunteers, along with three truckloads of relief materials, is scheduled to be flagged off to Nepal from Sikkim on August 31 by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang(Golay).

Adding another symbol of solidarity, the “Sikkim for Nepal” T-shirt was also launched today, carrying the message of unity, compassion and support for our neighbours in their time of crisis.

“Sikkim for Nepal” is a Helping Hand initiative being carried forward under the guidance and directive of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, reaffirming Sikkim’s commitment to stand with our neighbours in times of need.

Hon’ble Chief Minister Shriman Prem Singh Tamang-Golay visited the residences of Late Smt. Phul Maya Gurung at Sangadorjee and Late Smt. Kamala Tamang at Namgaon, under Rinchenpong Constituency, to pay his final respects.

He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for strength and solace during this difficult time. May the departed souls rest in eternal peace.

The Sikkim for Nepal T-shirt was also launched today as part of the initiative.
