It was a great honour and pleasure to attend the Grand Finale of Glory of Sikkim Season 5 today at the Tadong College Auditorium, Gangtok, along with my wife,Nima Doma Bhutia.

The journey of Glory of Sikkim Season 5 has been truly inspiring, providing a wonderful platform for the Mrs., Mr., Miss, Teen and Kids finalists to showcase their confidence, talent, personality and grace.

I was privileged to witness the incredible hard work, dedication and transformation of all the finalists. Their confidence, enthusiasm and determination were truly commendable and reflected the spirit of Sikkim’s talented and vibrant youth.

Chief Guest of the event was Hon’ble Gangtok Mayor Smt.Tshering Palden Madam ,Smt Asha Kharal Madam,spouse of MLA Shri Sanjeet Kharel Sir and Guest of Honour was Hon’ble Health Chairman Shri Phurba Rinzing Sherpa Sir on this special occasion.

I sincerely thank Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang-Golay Sir for his consistent support towards initiatives that empower our youth and promote art, culture, creativity and talent in our state.

It was a privilege and an honour to attend and be part of the Final Coordination Meeting of “Sikkim for Nepal”, held today at Tashi Delek Hotel, Gangtok, under the guidance of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang-Golay Sir.

The meeting was attended by Hon’ble MLA Shri Sanjeet Kharel, Hon’ble Mayor Smt. Tshering Palden Bhutia, Shri Karma S***a (OSD to HCM), Shri Sonam Norgay Lachungpa (Chairman), Shri Phurba Ringzing Sherpa (Chairman), Shri Bishal Pokhrel (APS, Pakyong District), Shri A.K. Ghatani (Advisor), Shri Deepen S***a (OSD), CLC President Gangtok Shri Sanjeev Gurung, Shri Pravin Agarwal (Treasurer), Smt. Ranjana Pradhan (President, Press & Publicity), along with many active and dedicated party karyakartas.

This meaningful initiative is being carried forward under the guidance of Shri Lakpa Moktan, State Level Youth President, SKM Youth Wing.

The meeting brought together Hon’ble representatives, advisors, officials, doctors, rescue volunteers and dedicated SKM karyakartas, united by one common purpose — to stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Nepal during this time of need.

A 15-member team of specialised doctors and rescue volunteers, along with three truckloads of relief materials, is scheduled to depart for Nepal on 31st August at 6:00 AM from Ridge Park, with the aim of extending support and assistance to those in need.

The “Sikkim for Nepal” T-shirt was also launched today as a symbol of our solidarity, friendship and shared humanity.
I feel truly proud and honoured to have been part of this initiative. In times of need, even a small contribution made with sincerity and compassion can bring hope and strength to those who need it most.

May our collective efforts reach the people of Nepal and convey a message of friendship, solidarity and humanity.

As we celebrate the beautiful festival of Raksha Bandhan, a celebration of everlasting love, affection, and the unbreakable bond between siblings, I feel truly blessed and grateful to receive the auspicious Rakhi from my beloved sister today.

This sacred thread is a beautiful reminder of the love, care, respect, and countless memories that make the bond between a brother and sister so special. May this Raksha Bandhan bring happiness, peace, good health, and prosperity into our lives.

I feel truly blessed and humbled to have attended the sacred Pang Lhabsol Celebration 2026 at Tsuglakhang.

It was a profound privilege to join in the prayers and worship and to witness the rich spiritual and cultural traditions of our beloved Sikkim, including the powerful and deeply symbolic Pangtoed Chaam (Warrior Dance).

The occasion was made even more special by the august presence of the Hon’ble Governor Shri Om Prakash Mathur Ji and the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang-Golay Sir, along with the esteemed Royal Family, revered Tulkus and Khenpos, members of the Sangha, distinguished dignitaries, and countless devotees.

Moments like these remind us of the deep spiritual heritage, timeless traditions, and cherished values that continue to enrich the soul of Sikkim and unite its people.

I remain deeply grateful to the Tsuglakhang Trust for the kind invitation and for their gracious hospitality. It was truly an honour to be part of such a sacred and meaningful occasion.

May the blessings of Mount Khangchendzonga continue to guide, bless, and protect our beloved Sikkim and its people, and may the spirit of Pang Lhabsol continue to inspire peace, harmony, unity, and compassion for generations to come.

Today, I had the privilege of attending the Pang Lhabsol Neysol Ceremony at the Statue of Unity, M.G. Marg, Gangtok.

It was truly an honour to witness and be part of this auspicious occasion — a beautiful celebration of Sikkim’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage, and our collective reverence for Mount Khangchendzonga.
Pang Lhabsol reminds us of the values that bind us together — faith, peace, unity, harmony and respect for our traditions.

Grateful for the prayers, the traditions, the beautiful cultural spirit, and the memories created today.

Today, I had the privilege of attending the Pang Lhabsol Neysol Ceremony held at the Statue of Unity, M.G. Marg, Gangtok.

It was a deeply meaningful occasion to witness and be part of a celebration that reflects the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Sikkim. Pang Lhabsol is a beautiful expression of our collective reverence for Mount Khangchendzonga and the values of unity, peace and harmony.

I feel honoured to have been part of this auspicious gathering and to share in the prayers, traditions and cultural spirit of the occasion.

Today, I had the privilege of attending the Pang Lhabsol Ceremony 2026, at Tsuklhakhang Monastery (The Palace Complex). The ceremony was beautifully observed with the traditional Pangtoed Chamm (Warrior Dance), reflecting the rich cultural heritage, spiritual traditions, and historical significance of Sikkim.

It was a truly meaningful and memorable experience to witness this sacred celebration, bringing together faith, tradition, culture, and community in one place. My sincere appreciation to The Tsuklakhang Trust for organising and preserving such an important cultural tradition. Feeling grateful to have been part of this auspicious occasion and to witness the vibrant heritage of our land. 🙏🏻
