𝟬𝟯/𝟬𝟵/𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗬𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗡𝗚: Under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang-Golay, and guidance of Chief Patron Shri Prabhakar Golay, every possible effort is being made to ensure that people in need receive timely medical support.

15-year-old Miss Seema Limboo, daughter of Keshar Singh Limboo and a resident of Lower Sripatam, 15-Yangang, Rangang Constituency, has been diagnosed with Oral Cancer and has been referred to Manipal Hospital, Delhi, for further treatment.Ward Panchayat Mrs. Dhan Maya Chettri accompanied Seema Limboo to Delhi for her further medical treatment.

Considering the serious medical condition and the financial burden of her treatment, medical assistance of Rs. 7 lakh has been provided with the support of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay).

This assistance will provide significant relief to Seema and her family and help her continue her treatment without the additional burden of financial hardship.

The initiative reflects the commitment of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) towards ensuring that no one is left without necessary medical care due to financial difficulties.

The medical assistance and coordination for Seema’s treatment were facilitated by Shri Yurba Limboo, GJKP Coordinator, Rangang–Yangang Constituency.

We pray for Seema’s speedy recovery and successful treatment.

Today,financial assistance was provided to 𝟳𝟴 Below Poverty Line (BPL) category patients admitted at STNM Hospital.

The beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), Chief Patron Shri Prabhakar Golay, and Garib Jankalyan Prakosta.

Sikkim’s spirit of humanity and solidarity has extended beyond borders, with a dedicated relief and medical support initiative reaching the people of Nepal affected by the recent devastating floods.

Under the humanitarian initiative “𝗦𝗜𝗞𝗞𝗜𝗠 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗡𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗟”, the relief vehicle carrying essential supplies, along with the medical team, has now reached Nepal and commenced its efforts to extend assistance to those affected by the disaster.

The initiative was flagged off by the Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), reflecting Sikkim’s commitment to standing with communities facing hardship and extending support when it is needed most.

The arrival of the relief and medical team in Nepal marks a meaningful step towards providing assistance to affected families and communities during this difficult period. Along with essential relief materials, the medical team will contribute towards addressing the immediate healthcare needs of those impacted by the floods.

This humanitarian gesture further strengthens the bonds of compassion, brotherhood and solidarity shared between Sikkim and Nepal. In times of adversity, extending a helping hand to those in distress remains one of the finest expressions of humanity.

Garib Jan Kalyan Prakosta extends its heartfelt solidarity to the people of Nepal and wishes everyone affected by the disaster strength, safety and good health. We also express our deepest condolences to all those who have lost their lives in the floods. May the departed souls rest in eternal peace, and may the affected families find courage and strength to overcome this difficult time.

𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮, 𝟯𝟭 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: A one-day Medical Health Camp was organised at Mangshilla through the collaborative efforts of CRH Manipal Hospital and Garib Jan Kalyan Prakosta (GJKP), North District.

The camp aimed to bring accessible healthcare services closer to the community by providing medical consultations, health check-ups, guidance and health awareness.

The initiative served as a meaningful step towards promoting preventive healthcare and ensuring the well-being of the local community, reaffirming the vision of “Healthcare for All.

Under the visionary leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), and the guidance of Chief Patron Shri Prabhakar Golay, the Garib Jan Kalyan Prakosta continues to strengthen its commitment to serving the most vulnerable sections of society.

One of the most meaningful initiatives of the Prakosta is its free ambulance service, now available across all six districts of Sikkim. The service has become a vital lifeline for poor, underprivileged, BPL and needy patients, particularly those living in remote and rural areas where timely access to healthcare can often be a major challenge.

Whenever an emergency arises, the Prakosta’s ambulance service responds promptly, reaching patients even in far-flung areas and safely transporting them to hospitals for necessary medical treatment. For many families who struggle to bear the cost of transportation during a medical emergency, this service is more than just an ambulance, it is a ray of hope during one of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Behind every journey is a story of a family seeking help, a patient waiting for treatment, and a life that needs to be protected. Through its dedicated service, GJKP is ensuring that financial hardship does not become a barrier between a patient and essential healthcare.

The initiative reflects the spirit of compassion, humanity and people-centric governance envisioned under the SKM Government. The expansion of such services across Sikkim demonstrates a strong commitment towards reaching the last mile and ensuring that no needy citizen is left alone in times of distress.

“तपाईंको स्वास्थ्य नै हाम्रो प्राथमिकता हो"—this spirit lies at the heart of the Garib Jan Kalyan Prakosta.
