The All Sikkim Government Employees Association (Group C & D) Central Executive Team, along with its members, proudly participated in the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign today in the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri.Om Prakash Mathur Ji, and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri.Prem Singh Tamang (Golay).

A visionary initiative of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri.Narendra Modi Ji, the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign embodies our shared spirit of national pride, unity and patriotism, inspiring every citizen to celebrate and honour the Tiranga.

The occasion was marked by a rally from MG Marg to Manan Kendra,Gangtok reflecting our collective commitment to the values that unite our great nation.

May the Tiranga continue to inspire us to uphold the ideals of unity, harmony, integrity and national pride, and may its colours forever remind us of our shared responsibility towards our nation.

A heartfelt appeal to all esteemed employees of the All Sikkim Government Employees Association (Group C & D).
As part of the “Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign–2026,” the State Government of Sikkim is organising a Tiranga Rally (Yatra). We earnestly appeal to all Group C & D employees to participate in the rally with enthusiasm and unity.
Date: 14th August 2026
Time: 9:30 AM
Starting Point: M.G. Marg, Gangtok
Concluding Point: Manan Kendra
The rally will be led by the Hon’ble Governor and the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim. Considering the national importance of this programme, all Group C & D employees are requested to participate wholeheartedly and demonstrate our collective commitment to national unity, integrity and patriotism.
Employees are encouraged to attend in traditional attire and report at M.G. Marg by 9:00 AM to make the programme grand and dignified.

HCM Visit to Mamring Senior Secondary School 13.08.2026

Today, 13th August 2026, the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s visit to Mamring Senior Secondary School in connection with the Independence Day celebration, the Executive Members of ASGEA Group C & D Pakyong District were privileged to meet and interact with the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sir.

During the meeting, we placed some important demands concerning the ASGEA Pakyong District Office, necessary infrastructure and essential equipment required for the smooth functioning of the office. It was indeed a great privilege and memorable moment to have a fruitful interaction with the Hon’ble Chief Minister. We are grateful to Sir for assuring us that the necessary equipment and support for the district office will be provided. Sir also assured us that the post-wise grievances of Group C & D employees would be looked into and addressed in the future.

We were also privileged to meet and capture memorable moments with Hon’ble Advisor to HCM Shri.Bishnu Kumar Khatiwara Sir, Hon’ble Chairperson Smt. Kavita Sapkota Madam, the respected Confidential Assistant Sir,respected OSD Shri.Bhawani Ghimeray Sir, respected BDO Pakyong Shri.Sangay Tamang Sir, and all the respected media persons of 19-Rhenock Constituency.

The Executive Members of ASGEA Group C & D Pakyong District were also delighted to witness and be part of the programme organized by IDCC, 19-Rhenock Constituency and sincerely appreciate the efforts of everyone involved in making the programme successful.

We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sir and all the respected dignitaries for their valuable time, kind assurance and continued support towards the welfare of Group C & D Government Employees.

Our Voice in Parliament: A Step Forward for Restoration of OPS

The All Sikkim Government Employees Association (Group C & D) had the privilege of calling on the Hon’ble Lok Sabha MP, Dr. Indra Hang S***a, and submitting a memorandum requesting him to raise the issue of restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) for government employees.

We are delighted to note that the Hon’ble MP subsequently raised a Parliamentary Question seeking to know whether the Government of India has any proposal to restore OPS. While the response from the Government is not encouraging, the question has brought much-needed clarity on the present position of the Union Government.

We sincerely appreciate and thank Hon’ble MP Dr. Indra Hang S***a for taking up the matter in Parliament and giving a voice to the concerns of government employees.

The response also reminds us that the restoration of OPS will require continued, united and collective efforts from employees and stakeholders. We remain hopeful that, keeping the interests and welfare of government employees in mind, both the Union and State Governments will consider the genuine demand for restoration of OPS.

Congratulations to Pakyong District on the Inauguration of the New Office

With collective initiative, dedication and unwavering support, the Pakyong District Body has successfully established the ASGEA Group C & D, Pakyong District Office at the former Palentine College premises, Pakyong, opposite the newly constructed SBI Bank at New Market.

This achievement marks a significant milestone for our Association and reflects the unity, commitment, and teamwork of every member involved. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the Executives, Advisors and supporters whose invaluable contributions made this accomplishment possible.
