Technical Evaluation of the Flow Diagram and Flow Test of Gangtok Water Supply System.

A meeting was chaired by Shri Sailendra Sharma, Principal Chief Engineer-cum-Secretary (PCE-cum-Secretary) and attended by Shri Sanjeev Rai, Principal Chief Engineer (PCE), Chief Engineer (CE), Additional Chief Engineer (ACE), Divisional Engineer (DE) GWS, Assistant Engineer (AE)Selep, Assistant Engineer (Planning), Junior Engineer (JE)Selep, and Junior Engineers (Maintenance).

The meeting focused on the Flow Test Analysis Report. The findings of the flow test were presented and discussed in detail. Various technical aspects, including the adequacy of discharge, system performance, observations from the field, and implications for the proposed water supply arrangements, were reviewed. The officers deliberated on the results and provided suggestions for further technical evaluation and necessary follow-up actions.

Team GWSS would like to wholeheartedly thank HCM Shri P S Tamang (Golay) for reposing faith in this team and giving a free run of Gangtok Water Supply. The PHED results that we are seeing today would not have been possible without Government support. Thank you Government of Sikkim.

A special thank you to Ven Sonam Lama, HM PHED. I had briefed HM PHED and I got full support and encouragement. Many things could have gone wrong but with the full backing of HM PHED, team GWSS had less to worry and concentrate on the job.
