The Gram panchayat unit is divided into seven wards. 02- Lingmoo Paiyong Gram Panchayat Unit is encircled by picturesque rivers, & Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary.

Bal Sabha is a child-friendly platform where children can freely express their views, share their needs and concerns, and actively participate in matters affecting their lives and development.

Bal Panchayat provides children with an opportunity to understand local self-governance, develop leadership skills, and participate in democratic decision-making. It encourages children to raise issues related to education, health, safety, sanitation, nutrition, sports, recreation, gender equality, and child rights.

Our Objectives

- To ensure that children's voices are heard and respected.
- To promote children's participation in local self-governance.
- To identify and address issues affecting children in the community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to Senior BFE Shri Hari Prasad Adhikari, Shri Sonam Lepcha, Shri Khem Lal Adhikari, Yam Nath Adhikari Shri Dilli Ram Koirala, Tika Ram Adhikari and all the members of the public who worked tirelessly to restore the water supply connection from the Kapraboray water source to Lower Paiyong.

Their dedication, hard work, and spirit of public service during this challenging time are truly commendable. We sincerely thank each and every individual who contributed to this important restoration work.

Today, the Hon'ble Area MLA and Chairman of STCS, Shri Samdup Tshering Bhutia, visited the flood-affected area of Kaw Ward to assess the damage caused by the recent heavy rainfall.

During the visit, a JCB excavator was deployed to commence the restoration of the damaged Kaw road. The initiation of the restoration work has brought a sense of relief and happiness to the residents of 02-Lingmoo Paiyong GPU, who have been facing immense hardship due to the disruption of road connectivity.

The local residents expressed their gratitude to the Hon'ble MLA for his timely intervention and continued support towards the restoration of essential infrastructure.

Gratitude to the District Administration, Namchi

Today, the District Administration, Namchi, through the SDM Office, Yangang, distributed relief materials, including essential food items such as rice, vegetables, and other daily necessities, to the families affected by the recent disaster.

On behalf of Shri K. L. Dahal, SDM, Yangang, a separate bag of boiled rice was also provided for a diabetic patient, considering their specific dietary needs. In addition, poly pipes were supplied to five affected families of Chauridara for the immediate restoration of their drinking water connections.

Shri K. L. Dahal also deputed health workers to the relief camp to monitor the health and well-being of the displaced families and ensure that necessary medical assistance was readily available.

On behalf of the 02-Lingmoo Paiyong Gram Panchayat and the people of the area, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Anupa Tamling, District Collector, Namchi, and Shri K. L. DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION CONDUCTS JOINT INSPECTION OF FLOOD & LANDSLIDE-AFFECTED AREAS IN KAW AND DARAKHARKA WARDS

A joint inspection of the flood and landslide-affected areas of Kaw Ward and Darakharka Ward was conducted today under the leadership of the District Magistrate, District Administrative Centre (DAC), Namchi.

The inspection team included the Zilla Panchayat members of Lingi-Lingmoo Zilla Territorial Constituency, Panchayat Presidents and Panchayat Members of 02-Lingmoo Paiyong Gram Panchayat Unit and 01-Lingi Sokpey Gram Panchayat Unit, the OSD to the Hon'ble MLA, and the CLC President.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate directed all concerned departments to restore the damaged road connectivity at the earliest, recognizing it as the lifeline for the affected public. She also instructed the concerned authorities to restore drinking water supply on a priority basis and ensure immediate water quality testing to safeguard public health.

The District Magistrate further visited the relief camp at Darakharka, where she interacted with the 11 families displaced due to the landslide caused by Rangla Khola. She assured the affected families that the district administration would extend every possible support and provide all necessary assistance until normalcy is restored.

The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety, welfare, and timely rehabilitation of all affected residents through coordinated efforts with all line departments.

Urgent Appeal for Darakharka Ward

The continuous landslide along Rangla Khola has made the land beneath Darakharka Ward unstable, affecting 11 families whose homes have developed severe cracks and are no longer safe to live in. These families have been forced to move to safer locations, leaving behind their homes and livelihoods.

We humbly appeal to the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Prem Singh Tamang-Golay sir to kindly intervene and provide immediate resettlement, rehabilitation, and necessary assistance to the affected families before the situation worsens.
Every family deserves a safe place to call home. Your timely support can protect lives and restore hope.
