Bid Farewell:

Today Rajya Sainik Board,Sikkim organised a farewell programme to Col. DN Bhutia, Secretary He had joined the office in the year 2010 and served to this institution upto 12 years.

Under his regime, various achievements were made up as raising of Sikkim Scouts Battalion, enhancement of various welfare schemes & grants as Old Age Pension, Ex-gratia,WW II Pension and Gallantry Award.

More then 5000 youths of Sikkim got enrolled into various Indian Armed Forces which is a very huge achievement in reducing the unemployment crisis in Sikkim.

It was his initiative that the construction of new sainik rest house cm office at Sikkim is on progress and almost on the verge of completion which will be a best gift to the Ex-Servicemen fraternities of Sikkim. Rajya Sainik Board, Sikkim has witnessed the tremendous change and progress under his tenure.

Lastly, we would like to thank him for his enormous dedication and resource that he has given to this Institution. Wishing him a very happy and healthy retirement life.

The Armed Forces Flag Day is a day dedicated towards the collection of funds from people of India for the welfare of the Indian Armed Forces personnel. It is the collective duty of every citizen of our country to ensure rehabilitation and welfare of the dependents of our brave martyrs and disabled personnel.

1971 War Veterans :

2. Hav Mani Das Rai, Arty, Panihouse , East Sikkim
3. Hav Laxmi Psd Nepal, Arty, Tarku, South Sikkim.

NOKs of Martyrs :

1. Smt.Mon Maya Gurung, Mother of Late Bishal Gurung, Nagi Namthang, South Sikkim
2. Smt. Choti Sherpa, Sister of Late Karma Tenzing Sherpa, Ben Peku, South Sikkim.
