In a major initiative to support local farming communities struggling with the aftermath of recent floods, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Golaghat, under the aegis of Assam Agricultural University (AAU), organized a ceremonial seed and planting material distribution programme in Bokakhat.

The relief initiative aims to revive agricultural activities in the region by providing farmers with high-quality seeds and essential planting materials to make up for flood-induced crop losses.

Mr. Atul Bora, Cabinet Minister for Panchayat & Rural Development, Border Protection & Development, and Implementation of the Assam Accord (Govt. of Assam), attended the event as the Chief Guest. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to agrarian recovery, the Minister highlighted the importance of swift technical and material support to stabilize farm production post-deluge.

The event witnessed strong administrative and academic support, with prominent leadership from Assam Agricultural University and regional government authorities present, including:

* **Dr. M. Neog**, Director of Extension Education, AAU
