Maharaja Sir Bhagvatsingh Sahib was born in Vikram Samvat 1921 in Karatak Sub Paancham that means 24, October 1865 in Dhoraji. Inspite of living in pa laces, he lived a simple life. By reducing his necessity he was always ready to do religious and good work. He was talented, honest generous person. Many manners were inherited into him that increase the beauty of Jadeja Rajput. His age was 4 years when his father died in 1869. He was so clever at that age. He can read any Gujarati book without any problem. He had a great knowledge about Arithmatic, Geographic and English.
24 October 1865 - 9 March 1944 was the ruling Maharaja of the princely state of Gondal from 1869 till his death in 1944, in whose reign the state was raised to 11-gun salute state. He is regarded as a progressive and enlightened ruler and was the only Maharaja to take a medical degree and also awarded other degrees: L.L.D, M.B.C.-M & M.R.C.P, D.C.L, M.D, F.R.C.P, F.R.S.E.&C. The queues of trees can be seen both side of the road in Gondal State. Tha branches of trees must be 14 feet above from the length so that they were safe from the vehicles passing from the road. The branches more than 14 feets were been cut. There was a facility for the disposal of rainy water. The underground pipeline of water was such established that without any water pump, people got water wherever they lived in Gondal. The Roads of Gondal were very appreciated. The length of road was 50 feet and that of the footpath was 10 feet. The contract of road had been signed at 3.10 lacs cost in Station-Plot in 1936. The expence of more than 200 crores was applied on building 12 hugh bridges,1000 tunnels and road of 360 miles etc. The facility of filter plant of water was found in Gondal at that time that was known as SAT TANKI filter plant. People got this filtered water 24 hours.
