π Celebrating 's Day at Bennett University π
The Learning Resource Centre, Bennett University marked National Librarian's Day by honoring the birth anniversary of Dr. SR Ranganathan, the father of Library Science in India. The event was a tribute to his immense contributions to the field and a reflection on his lasting legacy.
The celebration began with an insightful introduction by Dr. Sanjay Kataria, University Librarian at Bennett University. The event featured two enriching sessions:
Mr. Shubham Mishra, Professional Assistant, Bennett University, offered a glimpse into the personal life of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan, sharing fascinating anecdotes that highlighted his journey.
Dr Javaid Ahmad Wani, Assistant Librarian, Bennett University, delved into the professional life of Dr. Ranganathan, shedding light on his pioneering work and contributions to the field of library science.
The event concluded with an inspiring address by Dr. Sanjay Kataria, who motivated the team with real-life stories and valuable insights on navigating challenges.
We were also honored by the presence of Prof Manish Bhalla, Ph.D. FRSC, Head of IQAC, and Dr. Nidhi Sinha, Associate Professor at the School of Management, who joined in this celebration.
