Multi Dimensional Learning Space - MDLS

Multi Dimensional Learning Space - MDLS We are working towards making learning and pedagogy at Govt Schools multi-dimensional, so children learn experientially, visually, and through instruction.

ILP's Multi-Dimensional Learning Space (MDLS) is a during-school and after-school program that provides multi-dimensional learning opportunities for school children to explore, experiment, discover, and learn in multiple ways. MDLS improves learning competencies, and equips students with academic and life-skills. MDLS also provides students exposure to a wide variety of areas beyond the school cur

riculum. The concept of Schools as multi-dimensional learning spaces is based on the foundation that
• Equal importance should be given to all aspects of the curriculum
• Learning is not restricted to a curriculum. It should extend to help holistic and balanced development of a child
• One learning style doesn't work for all. Learning should involve visual, auditory and experiential methods
• Learning does not stop at school and it can happen anywhere and any time

The vision of Schools as Multi-Dimensional learning space is to offer a wide variety of academic inputs and non-academic exposure to children from an early age so that they do well not only in studies, but also learn about themselves, discover their interests and abilities so that they can take ownership of their lives with awareness and with confidence. Through this we hope to bring about individuals who are capable, confident, inquisitive and value aware, individuals who have the potential to become change agents in the society. Key aspects of MDLS:
• A smart/experiential classroom
• Low cost Science/Maths lab and models for social science
• Improve reading levels though a unique library program
• Teacher training, regular follow up and supporting infrastructure to enable teachers
• Inter-school competitions to provide a platform for hands on projects and cross school learning
• Exposure and counselling towards local economies and careers outside the local economies

Today is Day 14/14!

We have reached the last day of our Try-At-Home Science Experiment Series!! 🧪🔍🔬

Thank you so much for your participation and encouragement! 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Today we are doing 2 experiments- 1 from Chemistry and 1 from Biology!

Chemistry:
1) Preparation of Carbon dioxide using Vinegar and Baking Soda or Cooking Soda:

Note: In this experiment, you can use a single air-tight bottle instead of 2 bottles connected through straws.

Biology:
2) Osmosis:

Day 13/14 of our Try-at-Home Science Experiment Series!

Continuing our experiments on Energy, Force & Motion, we are covering 2 very interesting and fundamental concepts today!

1) Kinetic Energy and Potential Energy:
https://youtu.be/C9atNfVHF3Q

Note:
If you don't have access to balls of various sizes, you can use cylindrical plastic jars to roll down the slope. Check with your parents, first :)

2) Centrifugal Force and Centripetal Force:
https://youtu.be/-giZaLYVJTI

Note: As we are all home-bound right now, check with your parents what is the best place in your house to do this experiment. There is a chance you might hit something with the spinning eraser or spill water inside the house. :)

In this experiment, we will arrange a simple set up to understand kinetic and potential energy.

Long Weekend's here and so is Day 12/14 of Try-at-Home Science Experiment Series!!

Today we are making Newton's Laws of Motion Fun for ALL ages!!

Today's experiments are:

Newton's 1st Law of Motion: Inertia
