When your thought ignite motivation in students, they will lead the world as an inspiration...- SWASA works on same principle where we aim for welfare of students and students aim for society welfare...

Today we, SWASA felt like winning on many facets...seeing our own students moulded into mentors and seeing girl students found period positivity..
With the guidence of .r.s.vineela Dr. Rama Sri Vineela Dasu, project director of SWECHA, .aura Annapuran jaani, project coordinator conducted Awareness program on menstrual hygiene at Government Nodal high school, Pukali, Pottangi block, koraaput district, Odisha.

Providing first hand knowledge on puberty, periods and menstrual health management to girl students in remote areas is necessary for creating period positive environment and we are glad on seeing such positive vibes among girl students.
We offer gratitude to dear friends for funding, students for coordinating the event and each and every girl for gaining postive outlook through SWECHA.

What's is soo special about today?!
It's 28th may- menstrual hygiene day...
Do we need a day for menstrual hygiene..?!
Well, ofcourse to break the taboo assosiated with periods and to impart period positivity...it's essential...
With the same moto, SWECHA was taken its birth to pave a period positive path...

Around 150 students attended SWECHA program and got benefits... AWARENESS...!!
Girl students opined that they had access to sanitary napkins, but the knowledge and positivity they gained through SWECHA is much needed at the hour.
Vedantika Sadangi who hosted today's event felt content after great interaction session with young girls...
Distribution of sanitary napkins followed the event and today is worth for the celebration...

There is nothing called late in time....as every moment is new...!!
There is nothing called never in plan...as every day we plan for better tomorrow...!

In colloboration with Harsha trust of Odisha, with great coordination by Ms. Vedantika Sadangi, SWECHA programme was held in Ucha Vidyalaya, Chikma, GP- Bodaput block, Boipariguda, Koraput district of Odisha.

It was second of such SWECHA program in Koraput district of Odisha which is beautiful place that lies in lap of nature. The villege Chikma is quite interior and children has nil knowledge about hygiene...40 girl students of Ucha Vidyalaya were shy to talk about periods but with friendly interaction of Vedantika made them aquatinted with topic in positive way..hence, we got succeeded in our goal of imparting period positivity. It's quite joyous moment when kids showed enthusiasm in learning menstrual hygiene and health management.
Sharing her experience Vedantika said "It was very first class for me. It made me soo happy to share such moment with the students and thanks to SWASA for this wonderful opportunity "

Infact we are glad and thankful to Vedantika, Harsha trust who has taken all the pain for our cumulative gain. Gain in bringing period positive vibe in rural India.
Since 2019, with all the obstacles running in our way, we somehow managed to run SWECHA program due to persistence.

Some days it was like one women army, and some days it was like army with thousands of helping hands. On either extreme we run for STUDENT WELFARE

A girl's beauty is neither the way she appears nor the way she looks..It's the beauty where a girl reaches her best phase of her life which is nothing but motherhood and being a mother, who is another creator next to god.

The reason for reaching that best phase every girl must know is a healthy menstrual cycle.

Menstrual cycle is a process which happens for every girl naturally. But making it healthy lies with us both internally and externally.

First internal healthy aspect is never get ashamed of periods. Be proud of it. Let us not make it an unacceptable situation and not stop going to schools and let us erase all the taboos in the mind of our uneducated parents by educating them.

And externally by using sanitary napkins and frequent change of napkins for every 4 hours.

And finally " It's time for action"
