*Statewide Training for Anna Canteen Cleanliness*

To ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and service standards across all Anna Canteens in Andhra Pradesh, MEPMA has conducted a special Statewide Training Program for canteen staff.

The training focused on hygiene practices, time management, sanitation protocols, and service discipline, equipping staff with practical skills to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for the public.

The program was actively supported by the Advisory Committee Members, including Revenue Officials, Municipal Officers, MEPMA District Project Directors and MEPMA staff representatives, DRPs and other committee members, who collectively guided the sessions.

Through this initiative, MEPMA is striving to make every across the state cleaner, more efficient, and more people-friendly.

*Grand Inauguration of Pickle Mart @ Rayadurgam*

A new Pickle Mart was inaugurated today at Rayadurgam Municipality under the *One Family One Entrepreneur* initiative, marking another milestone in promoting local entrepreneurship and women’s empowerment. The mart offers a wide range of vegetarian and non‑vegetarian pickles, prepared and marketed by SHG women, showcasing their culinary skill and enterprise.

The event witnessed the participation of Ananthapur MEPMA Project Director, Regional Coordinator, and MEPMA staff, who extended their support and encouragement to the new venture. This initiative reflects MEPMA’s continued commitment to fostering self‑employment, sustainable livelihoods, and inclusive community development through SHG‑led enterprises.

*Loan Mela – Bapatla District*

Loan Mela – Empowering Local Entrepreneurs
Under the aegis of MEPMA Bapatla, the Loan Mela held on 03‑09‑2026 received an overwhelming response — 288 applications seeking loans worth ₹ 44 Crores.
20 sanction letters were issued by bankers totaling ₹ 1.27 Crores, including 8 PMFME and 12 PMEGP units such as Trupti Canteen, Chai Rasta, and UME Embroidery.

MOU partners also participated, strengthening collaboration for SHG entrepreneurship.

*Next week* : Applications will be scrutinized and coordinated with bankers to ensure speedy sanctioning and grounding of eligible units.

MEPMA Bapatla continues to drive women’s empowerment and livelihood creation through accessible financial support and enterprise development. .

On 3rd September 2026, the PM SVANidhi Lok Kalyan Mela was successfully organized by APMEPMA across the *Mangalagiri, Ponnuru, Puttur, and Mummidivaram* ULBs with active participation from street vendors, government officials, and bank representatives.

Loan disbursement camps were conducted to raise awareness about the PM SVANidhi scheme and the financial assistance it provides, enabling eligible street vendors across Andhra Pradesh to access affordable credit and strengthen their livelihoods.

This initiative reinforces the vision of inclusive financial empowerment and supports the journey of street vendors towards economic self reliance.
