On 7 January 2026, Mountain Forum Himalayas, carried out a blanket distribution drive for families severely affected by the ongoing cold wave in Kullu.

Through this initiative, 100 poor and marginal families from five Panchayats of Bhuntar Block received blankets, bringing much-needed warmth and relief during harsh winter conditions. The support aimed to ensure that the most needy are protected from the biting cold.

All Panchayat Pradhans and representatives of local Mahila Mandals extended their heartfelt gratitude to Mountain Forum Himalayas for this timely and compassionate effort.

Needy and poor families get warmth—together, we stand with communities in the mountains. ❄️🧣

🌧️ MFH Flood Relief Update – Jammu Region 🌧️In response to the recent floods affecting parts of Jammu, Mountain Forum Himalayas (MFH) reached out to support families in some of the hardest-hit areas including Peerkho, Lower Prem Nagar, Bawa Basthi (Gujar Nagar), Mangochak, Udaibala, Near Samba area, and Old University (Canal Road).Our team successfully distributed relief kits to 200 flood-affected families, each kit thoughtfully prepared to provide comfort and dignity during this challenging time.🛖 The relief kits included:Tarpaulins, Solar lights, Sleeping mats, Wash and dignity kits, Utensil kits, Buckets and mugs. Every smile we saw reminded us why community-led action matters most during disasters. Together, we continue to rebuild hope and resilience in the Himalayas. 💚

🌾 Mountain Forum Himalaya Extends Support to Farmer Families in Tarantaran, Punjab 🌾

Mountain Forum Himalaya has reached out to support farmer families affected by recent floods in Tarantaran district of Punjab. The relief initiative focuses on helping them rebuild their livelihoods and homes.

Essential relief materials distributed include 5–6 types of agricultural tools, agricultural seeds, handloom daris, mosquito nets, utensil kits, and folding beds.

This effort reflects our continued commitment to stand with the farming community during difficult times and help restore hope, dignity, and livelihood security. 💚

Total response was coordinated by all women's team.

Mountain Forum Himalayas extended relief support to 270 flood-affected families in Chaharpur and Dujowala villages of Ajanala Block, Amritsar district, Punjab. The distributed materials included shelter kits, tarpaulins, mosquito nets, sleeping mats, solar lanterns, bedsheets, wash kits, utensil kits, buckets, and mugs to help affected families restore basic living conditions and dignity after the floods.
